Doctor’s Rebirth
Later on we get BL vibes lol From the novel, a review: This novel is a bit hard to describe in ways. It's primarily a martial arts, found family, and medical series, with the main character, Jin Cheonhee, being a middle-aged Korean doctor who transmigrates after his death into the body of a child from a martial arts novel he read. He ends up immediately finding himself in a situation where his medical skills are needed, and from there catches the eye of a famous doctor. As the story goes on he becomes involved in more events going on as he tries to change some tragic outcomes that were in the novel and help the patients he comes across. Jin Cheonhee is a very likable main character; he was an orphan in his previous life, and so wants to be able to have a family of his own in this one. As a result of this, he is very compassionate towards others and does his best to try to save everyone he can to the upmost of his abilities. For those of you who love found family, this is a good one to read. As it says in the summary, the original protagonist of the novel becomes his sworn brother and they end up having quite a good relationship. He and his master, the famous doctor previously mentioned, also end up having a close relationship that is wonderful to read. He ends up getting two more sworn brothers, one a boy he helped cure of syphilis and another whose sister he operated on. The three brothers don't necessarily get along all the time with each other, but they all adore Jin Cheonhee in their own ways. It can lead to some very funny and cute situations at times. As someone else mentioned, this novel may feel slow at parts in the earlier sections. For those of us who like things along the lines of slice of life, this isn't so bad. For others, fear not, it really does pick up massively after a certain point
The Novel’s Extra (2022)
Ch 93, waiting for more chapters. The story is really good! Even if there is a lot of focus on women interested in the ML, it’s done pretty tastefully and they are not annoying. Better yet, seems like the endgame is Kim Hajin x Boss of the Chamelion Troupe (woman with dark hair, gloomy). Several reviews from the novel say the quality drops a LOT mid-way, so hopefully that gets fixed or I’ll just drop it.
Superhuman Battlefield
I LOVE WITH THIS. Why isn’t it more popular?! Badass, crazy yet sly protagonist; he is a mad genius who loves battle (and money… and K-dramas lmao). He is so cool! No romance (on his part) so far. The story takes place in a “modern” world, where a previously hidden underground magical race suddenly attacked with monsters and dungeons. The humans in response awoke powers, and thus superhumans fought back. Seomoon Yeob, an orphan, gained an unremarkable ability “Throw” (when killing the abusive owner of the orphanage). However, with his second power “Analyse” (can see his and everyone’s Stats and Abilities; can also see their potential), combined with his genius, he managed to become the strongest human in the world. He conquered every dungeon until he finally sacrificed himself after defeating the final boss [High Priestess] to give his six teammates (he was their leader btw) time to escape. He was happy to die in battle, and to the rest of the world he became the legendary hero who sacrificed himself to save mankind. But he doesn’t die. SY falls from a portal in the sky 17 years later, and wakes up in a now peaceful world, though for him no time has gone by. Now, most superhumans live as untrained civilians, and a small percentage participate in a VR sport, Battlefield (two teams of 7 or 11 in a dungeon, PvP with PvE). Korea, once a leading force, is the lowest ranking country in Battlefield. SY at first doesn’t want to play in Battlefield, planning to retire, but slowly he is dragged in. Though it is VR, their power is transferred, and the monsters and dungeons are all replicas of those during the war, so he is familiar with them. He trains others, forms his own team, fights the best players, and currently (ch 92) joined the World Tournament. Why is he so invested now? Because he found out that the Underworlders have not died out completely, but they are not the real threat. The president of the company that made Battlefield is the Underworlders’ Queen. She is the one that took SY out of the dungeon before he died, because she can see others’ fate and knows he is the “Savior” from prophecy. She didn’t want war against humans in the first place (the High Priestess did, though now she was raised from the dead and has joined SY while disguised as a white haired dude). There are other Underworlders that are against the Queen, because they believe they follow the Guiding Light (their good, sort of), but the Queen knows they have been tricked and they might open the door to Earth to a powerful monster from another dimension, along with his army of creatures [this was told to him by the Emperor, the strongest tyrant Underworlder; he killed him in a dungeon during the war and recently defeated him in VR ((they summoned his soul))]. SY wants to help all superhumans become stronger to face the threat. SY is really strong. He has his Throw and Analysis abilities, and after returning he got Immortal (he can’t die from injuries, though he can’t use this power in VR). Then he unlocked Amplify (+10 in one stat or improve an ability for X time; when Amplify + Immortal he can turn his body into Aura or create an Aura weapon [this one is taught by the Emperor]). In latest chapters (~85-90) he got an ability from the Emperor as the new Savior that lets him choose six (? “vassals” (they can get stronger), and also a training space where he can increase his stats beyond human limits (goes beyond the max 100 for humans). The novel is complete at 271 chapters, so this Manhwa shouldn’t drag too much!
Player Who Returned 10,000 Years Later
The MC is CRAZY! As in, crazy crazy. I love how he gets excited to see a pretty woman but even more excited to see FOOD. Thankfully he is not focused on romance. He has a cute face too lol (until he makes his demon face, always cool) So far read ch 65 (end of season 1). The ML was one day dragged to hell by a portal, where he killed and ate monsters to survive, eventually becoming the demon king. After 10,000 years, he success in returning to earth, only to find out only 5 years have passed, and that the “Gaia System” made humans into players to fight monsters in dungeons. Most of his demon powers are sealed, but he has potential to become stronger (he’s always OP because he has his “demonic energy” as an inherent energy). Then he finds out there is a demon cult trying to make hell on earth and he wants to stop them (even takes advantage of suck their demon energy). Also, the Gaia system made a guy become a player so he could be the “savior” the day the ML returned, but the ML met him too soon and just in case turned him into a subordinate (so they are bonded, just like the ML and his dragon-girl familiar), tho the ML erased his memories from the time he shoved his hand into his chest lol. The savior is the swordsman with grey-blue hair and eyes)
