Isn’t it hypocritical to tell the other person to find a proper partner, when you yourself is only doing casual sex? Well, that’s the MC so imagine my distaste. In addition, MC also rejects ML on the basis that he could believe ML’s feelings of love because of ML’s occupation (which was an actor) - this is ironic again, because MC sounds so much like he wants reassurance about that love, when MC is in the same boat and cannot be trusted just as much since he made it quite clear from the get-go he only wanted casual. You don’t really have the right to demand the other person to prove their love to you, when you yourself haven’t confessed about your feelings.
