Dream Sign
This was simple with a unique start, and cute. It didn’t turn very dark although it skirted and hinted at bullying, harassment and rivalry at times. It remained close and focused on the relationship between the two main characters. What I liked about the characters could be summed up in the author’s words: “Gyeom who seemed composed had a temper, and Lee Joon who seemed cold was affectionate”
Ookami-kun wa kowakunai
Kuroto is so cherished and Shirou is so noble.
Oyasumi, Itoshiki Kotori-sama
Adorable Seme who’s jack of all trades and an elder brother, a cute adopted winged baby, and Rich misunderstood uke with insecurities
Hitori to Hitori no 3650nichi
Not quite as good as “Toumei na ai no utsuwa” by the same author, but topnotch workpieces all the same! Probably because this was the earlier work, there’s a difference in the sense of refinement. Nonetheless, the art cannot be criticized and the characters quite interesting. It’s romance but also a human study.
Koko wa YES to Ittekure
There’s nothing wrong with healing mangas! If anything, they deserve all the love. Speaking of deserving, MC has been through a traumatic breakup - he didn’t suspect the man who seduced him to be married. That con artist ruined MC first love and his work place and reputation - he deserves karma. My deserves ML, on the other hand. When the innocence have been stripped away, the characters have the most potential of finding true happiness.
Snow Fairy
It’s simple, unique, and a casual read. Well-written story. Very wholesome characters. I usually like emotionally evoking psychological drama about healing and deep feelings. This is not it, it’s very peaceful and the characters never get stuck and struggle, so the romance and the direction of their lives develop slowly (kind of like slice of life) but smoothly. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed it. Goes to show how varied the scope of my interests are. And maybe because it still shows a part of the human psyche very well, even if it’s not so deep.
