I had anal sex with a cold childhood friend who never switched words with me
It was a good oneshot, but if the Tamao (Uke) didn’t have give Mikami (Seme) a hard time after what he pulled… I wouldn’t have liked it at all. But I like that they understood each other, lol the end was perfect and funny!
The Man At Night
The best part for me about this read is that MC has so many sides to him! I didn’t think one could mix different traits and make it harmonious, but the author did a really good job with MC’s characterization. The establishment is interesting albeit it made me personally uncomfortable to read about stripteasing since I’m not interested in those at all unless within the confines of the private bedroom and with someone I’m actually interested in seeing - it’s just a part of me, I’m the picky kind of person who would be revolted by physical touch with someone other than a significant other, sort of like a germaphobe who can only stand kissing the person they like. Everyone has their preferences and this is just mine. Moving on from my rant, a major theme that’s relatable in the story is money; the characters are all concerned with needing more income for their own reasons. It may not be the only motivator to pursue this kind of job, but needing more money is the main motivator. Btw can I just say, MC and his little brother have a vermin for an adopted brother? That guy is despicable and a hypocrite, a fraud, an unhappy son of a bitch. ML on the other hand is such an AH MAZ ING man. I don’t blame MC for falling. I had prejudice I admit against him at first - I just don’t like promiscuity - but how wrong I was. He proved me so WRONG - complete defeat. I’m saying this having read up to 54 ch (but I hope he remains as fine as he has been so far to the end). ML turns out is so discerning and strong, with his heart in the right place. There was a scene where MC got triggered (and so was I) and ML gave wise words that really touched me. But it gets better, because it feels more like they become friends more than lovers - there is understanding and enjoyment, and they’re honest with each other about where they are at. It’s the kind of bond that you have to read the story and witness the interactions to understand.

It took me awhile to warm up to this. But in the end, I did. I stayed mostly for the concept rather than the characters at first, because the MC gave me a very shallow and cheap impression. But the further I read, the more suitable the two seemed, and I ended up thinking it’s actually for the best that the MC has that kind of personality. Besides, he’s actually not as shallow and cheap as first impression (but still shallow lol). He’s just dense and honest. I hope he shows some maturity somewhere in the story though, although that prospect is doubtful. The art is pretty good. Moreover, they’re not exactly lovers or friends, but they’re kind of a bit of both - a dynamic that is one of my preferences.
Steel Under Silk
True enemy-to-lovers dynamic. Either one of them is sly and devilish, too. 칼과 꽃 - this reminds me of a translated light novel I just read “New York Memoirs”. Especially the progression of the characters changes of heart toward each other - they understand that regarding their background, it only makes sense it begets resentment and therefore they shall be cautious and regard each other as enemies, and yet sympathies arise and a single flower grows unwanted even amidst the debris of all the carnage of evils and history. When there’s no way but to accept the inevitable, then perhaps love and hatred may not have to be discriminated that much after all, and accepting the former perhaps need not be more shameful than it should be, if either way may lead to one’s demise and you choose the end which your heart chose in what way you should face the end. You might be my enemy, and not once may I have let my guard down against you or am willing to give up everything for you, but I accept that I have come to love you, and if you were the one to stab me in the heart even with all my attempts to thwart it, then so be it, I’ll accept that outcome…. Is the vibe I’m getting from the story and main characters’ dynamic, anyway. On the other hand, I may kill you, even when I have come to love you, but I will follow you soon after, as there is nothing left here, no meaning or purpose or love to stay for for me…. Kinda vibe.
December
Omg complete this already please so I can binge read this wonderful read! Update: grandpa is incorrigible (such a grey character too) (he said unforgivable things about recessive omegas, and he treated his own daughter like an object, causing her to lead a hurtful life) (he also has weird views about his grandson) (his one redeeming quality is that he does care about his grandson) MC and ML are so good together (imma cry)
