I kinda associate this author with OCs that have very good chemistry - but the chemistry in this one was off the charts imo. The storytelling was seamless, not too much information at once, unraveling the dynamics of Seto and Minoru in a pace that felt natural. The characters and their dynamic fit so well together I could only liken it to two puzzle pieces. The characterization was great - there’s a lot of depth in the characters despite the story having such a light-hearted tone (similar to slice-of-life vibe). Seto seemed like a thug at first, serious and mature, but he’s actually pretty nice, smart and unique. He’s quiet most of the time but with Minoru he talked more (and the best thing about it was that he wasn’t aware he was even doing it - someone had to point it out to him). He also found Minoru so cute (which Minoru really was, but a rare cuteness - serious, earnest and loyal; like a grumpy puppy) and I found it so funny when he said, “you know I think I’ve swallowed back a life time’s worth of cute by now” lol - bc of Minoru! They had many moments, which I absolutely loved.) Minoru on the other hand, was really very pure and clueless about his own feelings - he just really liked and respected Seto so much. He would have probably continued looking up to Seto as a friend instead of loving him romantically, if Seto didn’t make the move first - Minoru would be happy either way. Although their romantic chemistry was really strong so it would have been a waste if they didn’t get together. My point was, Minoru was our at heart and totally put Seto on a pedestal - I mean the guy’s so nice and cool after all.
