Heavy themes (such as burnout, bullying, taboo love, depression) and slow-burn romance. Very relatable (to me) coulple that I ship really strongly.
A unique and odd storytelling style that hits the jugular at times.
It might be a sad read because of the themes combined altogether, but it’s still HE for a heroic couple, so it’s definitely worth rereading (as long as I’m amply vaccinated and emotionally replenished)
Ultimately though, this is a romance story about unexpected encounters, acceptance, moving forward, and healing.
Love can heal, even in the most complicated circumstances.
Not to mention, seizing back the power to choose happiness for ourselves.
And maybe, a little bit about fateful encounters and your kindred soul.
