I like it. I can see why some don't, especially if they're expecting a typical action series since it involves dungeons and hunters - as someone who reads a lot from this genre, I'd classify this as romance/slice of life. If you're expecting it to not be a big part of the story, sorry to say, lower your expectations.
I love reading romance and find this type of setting refreshing. There's something cute/almost funny in seeing the dude having a crush on MC essentially since high school (even if realised only later), and I'm definitely a sucker for people who are different yet extremely similar <3
