44 - brilliant in many ways and served by a wonderful art The game and the mc are already interesting, for a start, the MC will set herself free from the boundaries of being a player, hence a (quasi evil) concubine : she sticks to her values as a modern woman It brings contrast and depth to the lives of these concubine Then there’s a game and a reflection about virtual reality : when all senses are connected, the brain can’t make the difference between reality and fiction anymore, and all feelings are true - and how about artificial intelligence ?

45 - ok, but quite inferior to Japanese equivalent For some part it’s good : there’s less crazy dégustations and the cooking time is not as painful But there’s also less tension, no suspense, and the romance makes it hard to feel it’s a story about cooking the whole system cheat thing is giving the same god tong power … but it’s a cheat Honestly making a story about cooking / baking / makings bread, is something that would be impossible in many support, but Japanese maknga ùade genius stories out of here The very long chapters and volumes made it possible to have a lot of knowledge input, plus action like narrative - Webtoon by essence, very diluted, there’s no paneling, you just scroll, the content of one chapter is often 1/ to 1/8 of a manga chapter - lastly maybe korean culture tend to mix rom com with « light » content , and there’s a rom com with a cooking flavor, instead of a cooking contest The good thing : the characters are less of ridiculous caricatures, but here the author gave very little depth and development to these characters : it makes for a fast food dish and certainly not for a greatest chef dish The art on the other hand, is really pleasant

43 - 4.5 - on manga tree - It’s very cute, the universe is just a bit original ( foundation myth in which the emperor is a dragon and his aristocrats are magical beasts in humans shape, even if so far all that magic is just a story ?) it’s lovely that the MC is a real little girl with a strong and beautiful heart and a head in its right place It brings a totally fresh vision to the castle - as the emperor gave her status she’s well surrounded, and can keep a beautiful kindness that her brethen can uphold Her mom did travel back in time - coming back to life she reformed into a good and protective mother - She has strong hint on the future and is probably trying to prevent succession war to happen to save her girl - but luckily, these angsty and now too common plot are left in the background so far, leaving us to a delightful little girl adventures The art is beautiful Plot wise, there’s a big background (mom rebirth, castle potential conflicts) , but we see very little. It’s interesting that we get get swept int the pace of a little girl story telling, sticking to a partly naive, partly wise vision of the world. She also bring a child point of view into the wicked and painful ways of the noble kids : why should they fear or embrace the adult conflicts ? Catch c43
