World Customize Creator
74 - 4+ - on a basic not too original premise, the story manages to be interesting, the special power is truly special, op, yet limited, so not too bad The mc is a bit bland, but he stays true to what many geeks are, doesn’t become a hero or a god, despite being literally labeled as one ! The side characters and the plot are interesting, the plot is pretty good too The only true annoying thing is the harem-ish undertone, the nearly naked female warrior - it’s not the worse, but it’s not the best https://www.novelupdates.com/series/world-customize-creator/
Deki no Ii Kiss Warui Kiss
6 - 4+ - despite the bad mark and terrible cover, strange setting and the hysterical humor, it actually has some depth and brings out a few interesting questions There’s a variety of charming characters learning about themselves and relationships that matters, in a fast paced story I honestly would rate it 4but i feel the global 7some rating isn’t fair to the content
Bite maker
15 - surprisingly excellent, from the very absurd omega universe, one that actually spell out the feminine conditions of many in the world : to have freedom upon your body, and to have the right to chose your partner, whether you’re willing to give birth, with whom and when, is still a rare privilege in the world Women won’t become extinct like omega, but abuses still exist, we’re even at a time when some women willingly chose these abuse, an inferior position and a duty to « breed ». We still have a long way to go and a lot to do to protect our fragile freedom - The MC here is interesting in her claim, and her duality Desire is much more in this particular universe, but it actually exist in all of us, it pretty funny, for once i find it interesting to see this debate : is it ok to be horny, and how little control we have upon some impulses (including desire for children at some points of life is a very strong urge) - the Omega in this perspective, is maybe our own nature, made more extreme The alpha on the over hand, are like super powered people with the libido of teenagers on steroids, the variety of values shown from the protagonists are an interesting panel of some world vision toward women : object of desire, love or tool, etc The art is beautiful, desire is well painted He pace is a bit slow, some interest is lost in all the master servant thing, but the overall could be great
The Priest's Chart
57.5 - 4.5 - another variation about hero’s burden , and a nice one at that There’s a lot of interesting characters, and a nice bit of plot, cool creatures Sadly it seems to be dropped or on hiatus, it also could be so near to the ending that it’s surprising ( i took a pick further than the first arc, it’s all becoming dark and stop at the worse point) Sadly the author didn’t learn that adding one line on the face of a character is adding 10 years, that makes the ml look extremely old :/ That plus the cane makes for an awkward romance, it feels like the age gap is way too much ! Good thing is : the age and cane will go as he heals, bad thing is the story stopped
One Take
41 - very good, the plot is sufficient to carry the story It might be a bit disappointing that the ML is made to be some kind of sociopath with a big trauma again - would being that calculating necessarily the sign of an obsessional disease ? It might be hard to deny, but at the same time, there was no need for a trauma behind With that in mind, it’s really hard to relate to anyone with empathy deficiency - That’s about it, i read for the plot, the rest is too clinical, the romance is cold and calculated : without being bad, it’s the opposite of good?
I'm a Martial Art Villainess but I'm the Strongest!
72 - once every blue moon, there’s a very rare good title about cultivation and murim for it to be good with a female protagonist, well the moon needs to be spotted or zebra blue at least, that’s how rare it is So what a happy surprise - This is a delightful read, beautiful art, great pace, endearing characters and well the same kind of « good vs evil shaking the murim world » you’d expect from the genre The MC is well balanced and pleasant - she get « strong « easily, but is not OP- the interesting part is the over kind of strength : the one that comes from her resolve and the slowly growing desire to care for others, no matter the cost - there’s also very little benefit to knowing the plot, and it doesn’t grow overbearing or ridiculous the plot is plenty mysterious, albeit pretty predictable : after all it follows a typical novel and heavy clues are found now and then about a big battle in the end The best part is about all the side characters that are pretty nicely fleshed out - at least in the first season - it’s very much about team work and growth, including growth as part of a community Far from solo trip, it has a lot of emotions to explore and the only bad thing I’d mention about it, would be the title! This is not a vilain story, not a revenge story either, and that certainly is a good thing
