48 - very different, it has a strong take on justice, fairness, and women place in society, it makes me give little care for romance
I’m not sure how to believe the mc change from utterly beaten and scaredy so fast, but i like her impersonation of « raven » and how she grows to want to defend her innocence
The cast surrounding her is marvelous, a variety of people with strong individuality, mostly far from stereotypes and nicely fleshed out - They are very good people with positive interactions and exchanges that gives her room to heal and grow - this eccentric bunch is marvelous in many ways - showing how to be there for another in a all kind of manners
The pace is good the content varies from the immediate political game to the unfair trial or the prison life … these different focus enables the reader§o build an opinion about that society excess, without making a pamphlet - it’s a good read, it never gets overwhelmingly negative and it leaves you wanting more !
