I gave this the benefit of the doubt thinking that it would “mature” (that was my first mistake) through later chapters, and I was sorely disappointed. If you’re looking for thoroughly fleshed out story with characters who grow from their terrible ways, maybe not in their day to day but at least within their relationship, this ain’t it. There’s constant r*pe I’m not even gonna try to say smut non-consent is non-consent. Yeah the art is hot or whatever but knowing the context behind every damn sex scene is just some perv’s weird obsession with his savior, it’s just wild. Plus idk if it’s the translation or the way it wa a genuinely written, but it constantly feels like the author is throwing random facts at the reader’s face to compensate for their lack of proper world building.

GOOD VS EVIL MAFIA X LAWYER TOXIC Rating: 3/5 ️ up until THAT grape scene, the story was interesting to follow and the build up of the relationship made sense in terms of inters too and where they stood. But then, MC gets by ML, and it lost all substance for me. From that point on it became a weird, toxic masochistic “I’m not gonna let you control me but I can’t help but love the way you treat me so I guess I’ll “let you F me and take me to dinner”” push and pull. Art is beautiful, sex scenes are interesting but all in all 5 star story got demoted to 3 because of that downfall.
