Wow this was a rollercoaster to read. I went back and forth from wanting the two ML’s to end up together to hating the main “villain”. Really interesting read. I haven’t read anything like it before. I love the two male leads they clearly have both been through a lot of trauma, but that didn’t stop them from living on and fighting back. They also happen to be extremely cute together, although you wouldn’t guess that when you first start to read. After reading other people’s comments I thought this was just gonna be another rape, fantasy, yaoi, but in my opinion I think it was anything but that. The two male leads had only consensual relations, although there was some rape in the story between other characters, which was clearly not fantasized. The relationship between the two ML’s did start off strangely, but they were both consenting (eventually) when it did finally happen. I appreciate that the author didn’t follow the same steps as others often have before. Overall, a fantastic read, the art is very pretty and simple, the two main leads are likable, and the story is interesting.
