HOLY SHIT, this was SO much better than the prequel! Though the prequel couple does play a significant role in this one, they are important characters but don't steal the sportlight from the beta x omega couple central in this story. Speaking of which, the beta x omega couple is so heart wrenching they love each other, but they each are convinced they can't be with the other cause betas can't bond with omegas. And poor omega is convinced he's a replacement for the prequel omega, whilst beta is railroaded (by convention and life) into believing omega doesn't want him 'cause he's a beta and thus can't bond with omega even if he wants nothing more than to be together with omega. They've both had so much shit to deal with and trauma to carry they have little faith in themselves to be allowed to love and be loved.
