Kobamanai Otoko

Ongoing | mitsuki emi | 2019 released

I don't know what to rate this.. it's quite weird. Kurose Nozomi is investigating Diet member Nakata on the grounds of a possible affair. However, the only person the politician seems to spend an inordinate amount of time with is Shiraishi Ritsu, the concierge of the Skyward Hotel, known for being "a man who can't say no" (in other words, he's extremely competent at his job and there is almost nothing he can't seem to make happen). This is troublesome as Shiraishi also doubles as Ri-chan, Kurose's assistant and crush. Kurose does not want Shiraishi to be having an affair with the older politician as he wants to keep the young man all to himself. -WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD- During a stake-out, waiting to corner Nakata-san's secretary in the Skyward Hotel parking garage, Kurose questions Shiraishi about Nakata-san and outright asks Shiraishi if he would sleep with Kurose if Kurose if he were to guest to. Shiraishi responds in kind saying he'd do anything Kurose asks. Whilst Kurose and Shiraishi are having sex in the car they were using for their stake-out, Nakata-san's secretary walks into the garage and hears them going at it. He interrupts our protagonists by yelling at them that carsex is a crime, Kurose tell him to shut up as it is difficult for a gay couple to find a nice place. The secretary then tells Kurose to talk to the concierge at the hotel (who just got his asshole rearranged on the back seat of the very same car), since he would be able to fix something for a gay couple seeing as the concierge is gay himself and very much in love with someone he thinks unattainable, which is causing trouble for the secretary as Nakata-san consoles the concierge on his love troubles almost nightly. This is when Kurose realizes Ri-chan is very much in love with him and their attraction is very much mutual. After that rollercoster of a first chapter, they spend more time fucking at Shiraishi's place. Over the next chapters we find out about their shared past, a past Kurose has not yet connected to Shiraishi. Where a young Ritsu hired Kurose and his boss/colleage/kouhai Eita to collect evidence so his parents could get divorced. Ritsu's father is a Diet member (and old friend of Nakata-san) named Uehara, who doesn't seem to hide his bad sides well enough as the dectective duo manages to collect way more evidence than would be necessary on the man's various affairs and power abuse. During their investigation Kurose finds out that Ritsu is gay and because of that he's seen and treated as a disgrace by his father. This causes Kurose to search Ritsu out and bond with him, only Ritsu falls in love instead. The investigation concludes when Uehara spots Kurose and Ritsu outside the family house and starts hurling insults at Ritsu (and Kurose by extent) which makes Kurose lose control and punch the bastard in the face (good). Kurose and Ritsu's next meeting happens 7 years later at the Skyward Hotel at the beginning of chapter 1. Kurose realizes the past he shares with Ritsu and the two settle any remaining issues between them as they go on an overnight trip to Kurose's hometown. The bonus chapter gives us readers Eita's pov of the 7 years between the Uehara Case and Shiraishi and Kurose meeting at the hotel. Eita has been hired by Shiraishi to report to him on Kurose so that Shiraishi can make the man fall for him and then dump in a long term revenge plan. At this point Shiraishi doesn't realize he's in love yet, but Eita sees it dawning on him as the years go by and Shiraishi transforms into a true stalker (luckily Kurose is dence enough that he finds Ritsu's stalker qualities 'cute' rather than disturbing). At the same time as Shiraishi hires him, Eita is also hired by Nakata to see about getting Kurose and Ritsu together, even roping Madame Nakata into it with the infidelity case that inevitable got the two protagonists of this tale together.

You and I can't do this

Complete | Oh Doyeon,Moscareto | 2000 released

underwhelming ending, I mean it's cute, but didn't quite get it? Like why did he quit his job out of nowhere, because he wanted to be with his lover? Sweet yes, reckless most definitely. But Why? I thought he liked his job? I agree with uke on that one. Had hoped there would be an epilogue.
