Won't spoil the ending, but it felt really rushed and left us with more mysteries than conclusions. Otherwise, it was a pretty good read as it had a likable protagonist with good character development and a pretty good plot. However I cringed when they added chimeras since I didn't see the need to introduce an aspect like that, for some reason it lessened the experience of reading Beastars for me.

Bro, the prince has me seething throughout all of this and I'm so pissed at the protagonist :'( No person who is sane would go back to that person. Even if it hasn't happened in the new timeline, why would you still go back to a person who is capable of doing those things?? Stockholm syndrome I say. The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of one is because of the side characters, they are the main reason why I continued reading this.
