I'm not sure if I like this just yet. She isn't a bad character but I just don't like her - I feel like she doesn't take Evan seriously (not in a romantic way but just as a person) and she's not really coming up with her own ideas. I'll keep reading this another day. Update at Ch 97 (Spoilers) - I actually like the way she left because it she did out of love for them. ALSO, THANK GOD FOR THAT TRUTH POTION because it showed how much of simp these men are for her lolololol. I cried watching Evan's childhood but I thought it fkin hilarious that he enjoyed his A LOT!! When Laria left, seeing the light go out in his eyes made me want to cry - I hope he finds her quickly and that she doesn't go the second time. I think they will both get their wish by being together ️ All in all - I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of this story but I like it enough to continue. I think it's cute and I think what keeps me invested is I really like Evan as the ML ALSO, someone said the comments that Laria would be better with the blonde guy but he likes he because she has the same ideas as him WHEN SHE PURPOSELY USED HIS IDEAS. I would like someone to if all my thoughts came out of their mouth. Not to say that Evan doesn't have his faults, I mean he lost his mother at a young age and was neglected for a long time AND was put in a marriage that he didn't ask for... So now he's a bit obsessed with Laria and will do anything to keep from disappearing again. In all honesty, I don't think it's a bad thing for Laria considering in one of chapters - she said she would want someone who loved her completely and I feel like Evan (even if he knew the whole truth about her) would still love her like crazy. If it came down to that blonde guy, he'd probably ask if she needed a doctor and wouldn't truly believe her. I don't know - I just have a lot of thoughts and put them all here...

I'm getting multiple seme kind of vibe from this. The novel is such a slow burn but it definitely had me scrolling with my eyes glued to the words it was giving.

When he said no to the thoughts he was receiving, I felt so proud!! Ok!!!! I definitely feel like Reese is the person demanding the story to be the way it’s supposed to be told. Like the bitch behind the scenes!!! When you read the chapter with the hooded person, he gets asked to make a second condition asap - he mentions that someone is asking for it and I HIGHLY believe it’s that bitch. I don’t like her and I feel like everything goes wrong when she’s involved. Even if she ends up not being the one behind everything, she just does not seem like a good person at all. She heavily relies on gossip, lies A LOT, and forces situations that are not there, AND ACTS LIKE A FUCKING VICTIM EVERYWHERE SHE GOES (I know a fake ass hoe when I see one!!!) The parents (mainly the mom), I am so glad that they are not super one sided and actually care about our precious baby. I can see why it’s hard to believe in someone new opposed to the person you’ve known for a long time. ESPECIALLY when that new person has the worse rumors surrounding them AND a whole fucking system is brainwashing you into thinking they are horrible no matter what they do BUT!!! I am glad that these parents have a fucking brain and actually think things through. I hope it continues to get better - I also hope the brother can see Edith in better light one day as well. He seems like an asshole but I don’t hate him. Update - I finished the novel... and I enjoyed it so much. Chapter 80 left me feeling like I needed to know more and the comments stated that so much of her suffering wasn't shown. At first, I just wanted to see what truly happened to Edith in the novel during the kidnapping but I couldn't stop reading. I loved every single bit of it and I'm very thankful to the translator for the novel. I feel just a tiny bit bad for that Raymond guy BUT not that much. I only feel a bit bad because he has all the rumors around him that say he did something vicious and although he did reject her like an absolute asshole - I don't think he should be painted as an abuser or anything like that. Anyways, I seriously love the female lead because she is seriously gunning for this man and she is not stopping. I like the Kylo much more than Raymond because I feel like he would've appreciated her love more (maybe even the OG's love as well). Also, I get why Kylo doesn't like Raymond but I don't get why Raymond doesn't like Kylo. Kylo doesn't like Raymond because Raymond belittles his efforts and his presence overshadows everything that Kylo did. Raymond makes comments about how Kylo uses underhanded ways to get to where he is but has no basis for that. Also, Raymond pulling that 'I don't like her but I don't want her to go to anyone else's move is absolute BULLSHIT!!! I would've understood feelings of regret because of the way he made her feel but now he's crazy if he thinks she would love him again. He had so many years to be with her and when she's technically no longer there, you want her. Also, when he said he feels robbed of his future - I WAS SO FUCKING MAD!! Be with that other female lead or the stainless - I feel like if you had married our baby because you were "forced" to, I bet my non-existent ass that he would've made her feel exactly like what his mother felt. (Sorry, I have big feelings for this fictional character...) I hate people who only receive the value of something when it's gone and I hate them even further when they feel entitled to getting it back. Anyways, I need more chapters plessss - I'm currently sleep deprived and willing to keep reading.
