I have a love hate relationship with this…. I loved it more than I thought. I still dislike the ML in some ways but I also think them being outside the palace will let them have a more healthier relationship. I finally finished this

The comments low-key disappointed me - I understand that what they did to each other wasn't the best. Suzuhara had to do his job even though he hated it AND he was a child who was told repeatedly that if he didn't do his job, he was worthless. Ryou was also a child when it all happened and Suzuhara was probably his only light in his life which led him to doing such things. Both of them don't blame each other for what happened and they love each other still. It was happy ending with a lot of messed up moments. Probably the biggest reason I'm just happy that it ended like this is because it really could've been much worse.

Originally, I had dropped this and then I realized I kept coming back to read this. The messiness is too much for me to ignore

12 Meh. Reading the comments, it seems there's not a lot of character depth to the couple so I don't think I'll read this one. Update - I read up to chapter 12 and I wasn't that interested. The story was so cute but it also was super confusing. I don't mind translations being hard to understand but the story would go back and forth and I just kept getting confused.
