Other than the ending, I actually didn’t think this was completely unlikely. I haven’t read the main story so I could be missing a lot, but the slow descent into meaningless felt real like he was forgetting who he was…of course the whole thing was very laughable especially looking in, but I would believe that people have gone through the same and in the end can’t get out to the point where giving in and accepting the abuser’s “happiness” is better than trying to undo everything mentally However, I somehow did enjoy reading this and couldn’t stop until the end. Sometimes it’s fun to watch things burn I guess….
