….So…..that was painful….but really good. The characterization was on point and honestly something I’ve never read before. Normally you only get this type of story with horror (I mean the acts in here are horrible, but the overall plot was a romance). It really does tackle SA head on in a way that I haven’t read before and THANK GOD fully fleshes out the actions and consequences of everything which I rarely see…the main conflict ends with about 20 chapters left to let everything unfold which I wish every story did, it’s what makes the ending satisfying as I feel the character truly can put that horrific part of their life behind them and live their own lives happily now.I think most story now leave on a cliffhanger type of ending where the conflict ends but the characters don’t actually unpack their trama/feelings/whatever and therefore there isn’t actually a resolution. So, even though I suffered through the conflict in this story I ultimately feel satisfied. These characters feel realistic and go through very realistic things therefore not all their actions are perfect, but anyone who actually thinks about what all the characters go through in order to develop that thought process realize that people often have a reason for doing stupid things. SA can mess someone up in every way so I never blamed Siwoo for most of what he chose to do; he was being tormented by others for years and his own self hatred never left just because someone cared for him which is normal and a lot of stories and readers overlook. Nothing he did was out of malice for others but because he would never subjugate others to care for him. Yujin never knew most of anything for the bulk of the story, so how would he know what to do and how to best help Siwoo; he wasn’t necessarily just being immature he was being realistic in his mind and in order to not drive himself
crazy. If Siwoo told him he loved someone else and never told him that he didn’t like what they did, how would Yujin know to rescue him. It’s not like Siwoo is to blame for wanting to hide a nasty part of his life and suffering and something he considers a disgusting part of himself, but most of the time Yujin thought Siwoo did want just sex and was naturally promiscuous, and who is he to dictate Siwoo’s life if he was’t his lover. All in all, both of these boys deserve happiness with each other forever and ever, and I personally believe they killed Hyun :) Loved the doctor friend, for those that blame him for not acting sooner or doing something more, remember that he isn’t an omnipotent reader, he was also manipulated by Hyun and didn’t want to impede on the freewill of Siwoo to choose who to be with, he couldn’t force Siwoo to do anything especially if he didn’t witness have evidence of most of it and Siwoo denied it being a problem until it broken him.
Overall 5/5 story 4/5 experience (it hurts to read most of these story)
It’s over :D
See You Again
