Warehouse
At the end of part 1, here's a summary : Dohyun was kidnapped by Sungho. We discovered that they used to have a sexual relationship back in high school which consisted of Dohyun demanding only sex : Sungho didn't want it but still let Dohyun fuck him because he was desperatly clinging to Dohyun (obsessed). Dohyun ended this relationship, which was taken by Sungho as being abandoned. Fastforward 9 years, Dohyun in at Sungho's mercy, raped regularly in a warehouse recreated by Sungho to look like their high school gym and sexual meeting point from back then. Dohyun has a hard time remembering people and events but ends up remembering Sungho. He realizes each rape is a simulation of a sexual encounter they had, but reversed (Dohyun is getting fucked). By the end, coworkers of Sungho break into the warehouse and scold him for his behavior and sick/twisted game, then get into a fight with him when they hurt Dohyun (I should read chap 35 and 36 to remember the scene). They leave and Sungho takes an unconscious Dohyun and escapes with him. Other facts : - Sungho has a scar which we don't know the origin of for now. - He works for a shady business. - He is obsessed and certainly in love with Dohyun, and has mixed feelings between revenge and ownership (he wants to keep Dohyun to himself and can't bear to kill him even if he's thought about it. I think he's pathologically obsessed with Dohyun and wants to hurt/torment him for leaving him in the past, but also to control him and make sure he doesn't escape. He's obviously sexually attracted to Dohyun, although it's not clear if he was in the past (high school time). He hasn't let go of his feelings, which are a painful and twisted kind of love for Dohyun. - Sungho had/has a sickness which used to send him to the hospital (mental sickness ? something else ?) - Dohyun has memory issues (accident ?) - Dohyun isn't in love with Sungho (from what we've seen until now), as he taunts Sungho, saying their relationship ended a long time ago (didn't mean much to him). By the end, he's mentally exhausted and asked Sungho to kill him. I'd like it if in part 2 he fell for Sungho or had some feelings for him, but I kind of think it's doomed.
Interview with a Murderer
Both Mc and ml are psychopaths (I think), or at least some form of sociopathy. Mc is a journalist who has a very low moral threshold : he likes to collect all the dirty, dangerous, sordid secrets of other people, and keep it to himself. He gets to interview a serial killer (ml), thanks to his ex who is ml's psychologist. He wants to know everything about ml's thought process, and doesn't intend to tell the police. He even thought that ml should always be free, hinting that he somehow wants to see more killings I think. ML pretends that his first victim wanted to die, though Mc knows better. To Mc, Ml is a liar who covers up his madness and acts, switching between a bright and a dark personality in a sense, with the bright one sometimes used as a facade. Ml becomes interested in Mc as a sexual partner, though he doesn't like being called out by Mc on his lies/dark side. He however seems to become addicted to Mc. Mc resolved to seduce him with his bed skills in order to get his story. I don't know how this will develop, or if it will end well, but it's very interesting. Both are each other's mirror, they recognize the other's darkness. I wonder if they will fall in love.
