And after that? What do you do with someone who is unstable because you drove them to a mental breakdown and attempted suicide? Of course, locking him in unnatural conditions, where he has no one to talk to, everyone treats him like a thing, and only gives prohibitions and instructions. In such stressful conditions, even a completely normal person will develop depression. If this is how you "love and care" then I can understand why the main character wants to run away. The most ideal thing for him was to change the place, settling with normal, friendly people and creating new connections with adequate partners. If Alpha really “loved” and was not a self-centered egoist, he would let Omega go instead of repeating the same conditions that did not bring anything good once before. Actually it's even worse, because now no one wants to communicate with him normally and explain anything, and they have zero respect towards him.
