Oooh, boy. I could not stand this romance from the start. The top, Kubo, is so forceful even from the start, just doing whatever the hell he wants. Touching Sugiura all over, not asking for consent, not respecting his boundaries, being super forceful and clingy. I can't stand him. I really like Sugiura, and I feel bad for him. He could do so much better, honestly. He shouldn't be with someone who doesn't respect his boundaries. To be honest, this is the most worthless "I love you" exchange I've ever seen. From both parts. It doesn't feel like that at all, are you kidding me? I didn't feel any of that. From the first and second chapters onward, I just wanted Kubo to leave Sugiura alone.
In conclusion: did not like this relationship. Run for the hills, Sugiura. Get away from this man. And Kubo, do better, dude. For real. Be better. The sex scenes were fine, I just wish they had met and started this relationship in a different way. You can't just coerce and emotionally manipulate someone into being in a relationship with you. He's not the worst top/seme I've seen, obviously. He's not a monster, not really abusive. But still... This relationship does not spark joy.
