My Red String of Fate
Girl isekais after falling in an open manhole. In this other world - presumably that of a novel - she can see red threads coming off injured people, and can cut the threads them to heal people. One day, she heals an injured person who turns out to be one of the OG novel's love interests. He's a reaper whose heart is removed due to a curse. It turns out that she has a red thread between her and him. He falls for her and the romance that develops between them is very cute. It's all very interesting, my only problem is that the MLs inability to accept that the MC has any make friends is a little toxic.
A Witch's Hopeless Wish
I don't even know how to begin summarising the plot of this, it's so brilliantly done and has so many twists. That being said, if you don't want them spoiled, STOP READING NOW!!!! Ok!! So basically, a young orphaned boy is adopted by an earl. The boy became an orphan after his village was burned down, supposedly by a "witch". When he's older he goes searching for this witch. Instead, he stumbles upon a kind young girl who is accused in her village of witchcraft. He helps clear her name, only to find out later that she was the "witch" that burned down the village. She did not do this intentionally, however. As a young girl, her hair started to turn white due to an oversaturation of mana in her body passed down genetically. This caused people to be frightened of her. They attempt to burn her house and lock her in there, but she makes a pact with an evil spirit. In return for her survival, she becomes immortal and the spirit takes the lives of everyone in the town, except for Caitel, our male lead, who was wandering outside of the town's borders at the time. Eleanor, our female lead, attempt to sleep forever rather than complete her contract with the spirit to take the lives of 666 people to regain her mortality. In doing so, she awakens a demon/monster who entered the human world as an immortal and after seeing the worst of humanity, uses humans only for entertainment. He claims to be the only one to understand Eleanor. Caitel learns the truth and accepts Eleanor regardless (though not at first), and while he and Eleanor leave the Earl's mansion (where Eleanor had been taken in) for a few days, the Earl discreetly deals with the monster/demon. That's about where we're up to. I haven't read a manga with this thorough of a plot in a very, very long time. Perhaps not since Dengeki Daisy. It certainly drags in some parts, and the romance feels a little too constant in parts to really get the heart going, but it's cute nonetheless. The characters all have depth, and the layout of the story is very clever in that it allows for the appropriate reveal of twists and turns in the story. Definitely give this a go, but set aside a few hours to do so, because you'll undoubtedly want to binge-read this one.
The Duke's Servant
Holy shit, this is complicated. Ok, so a subordinate of the prince is sent to work as the duke's aid as a spy, to learn what he was doing 12 years ago. Turns out he was under human experimentation 12 years ago. Whilst working as a spy, the prince's subordinate dresses as a man. He gains the dukes unwavering trust and eventually his love. There is a slow developing romance between the two, and eventually when she is found out, she retreats back to her position with the crown Prince. There's a lot more to it, but there's the bare bones of it. I really really hope that the duke is forgiving of her, and that they can be together. Holy wow.
The Goal is to Become a Gold Spoon so I need to be Completely Invulnerable
Noble girl of an abusive family recalls memories of her past life after being pushed down the stairs by her younger sister. Her memories being that she knows her current world to be that of a novel she read in her previous life, and that in the novel, her character dies upon being poisoned by her step mother. With new confidence, she attends social events and builds a network in order to escape her fate.
Virtues of the Villainess
Ginger: why are so many people w orange hair named "ginger" in webtoons? Oh well. One thing that you'll need going into this webtoon is nerves of steel, because the second-hand embarrassment is INTENSE. Quick synopsis: girl finds a book detailing her being the villainess in the relationship between her nemesis Leragie and the king, who can read minds. She uses this to change events, and ends up with the king. The king finds out pretty quickly abt the book but is chill w it. One sus character is Hamel, the author of the book. He's a mage as is able to predict the future regardless of current timelines, and can magic things into existence. He's a funny one. Seemingly not malicious, though. I'm looking forward to seeing how this develops, but I hope I don't die of second-hand embarrassment first.
I am the Precious Daughter of the Greatest Villain in the Fantasy World
Just a promo unfortunately:(( A girl reincarnates as the daughter of a villain, who turns out to be a very doting father
Everything was a Mistake
I get he has issues, but what a shitty male lead. Big yikes.
The Library Needs A Witch
A witch is employed by the prince to manage a dilapidated library. There she meets a knight who is assigned to protect her. This knight is the male lead, and is someone who she saved (and presumably someone who saved her) as kids. Neither of them recognise one another as someone from their childhood.
Charlotte Has Five Disciples
This is so incredible, what an amazing find. I don't even know where to start in summarising this, but, a 129 year old magician first became the archmage when she stopped a world threatening demon at the age of 16. She took in 5 disciples as she got older. At the age of 129, she decided to die by releasing all her mana into the world, but instead she regressed in age because she was never able to experience love (idk). Anyway, she lives in secret with the help of an old friend (love interest). Eventually she tries to find her old disciples because her "death" kinda fucked up their lives. A lot of cool action scenes happen while she recovers each of her disciples, and their detailed backstories are revealed in the process. Meanwhile, we wait for a romance to develop between the friend of the FL and the FL.
