july 25, 2024 7/10 somehow, nanachi being oblivious to arochi's birthday when the latter mentally prepared himself to greet his boyfriend the moment the day changes feels unfair. i guess that's just nanachi being nanachi, but the second he realize what he just missed, he'd feel real bad. this manga is refreshing slice-of-life romance between two teenage boys who befriended each other, gradually catched feelings and eventually got together. it's like reading a normal couple's love story and learning how normal their lives are. this is so different than what I've read for the past weeks and i realized how toxic BL community is that even this kind of treasure is considered underrated smh. I've forgotten the beauty of finding yourself and being true to your feelings despite the society daunting you. I've forgotten how real human feelings are and how real you actually act upon it realizing those resurfacing emotions. how real it was. how raw they can be. I've never felt so related to a manga I'm reading before this. when nanachi failed to pass the first exam, i felt it. the disappointment and frustration on myself, but also the acceptance of losing; the disheartened soul that swore to not bother even trying again (and i sensed nanachi's not gonna pass the first exam, i swear) but he believed to arochi and to himself. and well, look at what we just witnessed: nanachi passing the second exam. i thought to myself why am i hard on myself and give up so easily? why can't i try again? this is just a small part of this manga but I've realized plenty:) it was great reading this. #Arochi×Nanachi #FriendsToLoversIHonestlyThinkTheyreSoSweet

august 4, 2024 8/10 bruh these two are so cute! they make such an adorable, sweet, and green flag couple with a touch of comedic romance mess a high school couple experiences. such a healthy love they have! surprisingly, the shorter guy's the top whereas the taller and golden-retriever-vibed dude is actually the bottom?? what a bizzare dynamic! in their relationship, they face silly yet real-life problems and experiences disagreements. however, as they are both understanding and whipped for each other, they don't take long to fix and make amends. i honestly like how the only issue they encounter so far is being addressed and are mutually agreed upon. no doubt they really like each other and are vocal about it despite their characters being so different. and that's the cherry on top. #Yuujirou×Rui #ChildhoodFriendToRealLoversBothGreenFlagHeheheSoWhippedForEachOtherJustTheWayILikeIt

august 5, 2024 5/10 it had a potential to be a great manga but as the story progressed on, the scenarios started to be random and are sometimes confusing; it just didn't add up and contributed well to the rest of the story. the guy's family issue was too much of a stretch, honestly. like, I'm aware it's to add depth to the characters and to the story, but it only made me cringe, especially the part where the uke intervened and helped making the family back together. i may be am being narrow-minded here, but this is how i viewed while reading the chapters. the first chapter and the introduction of characters was great but their personalities went unproportioned (I'm talking talking about the big guy. i honestly dont get his personality). i realized they were all too generic and cliché which only left me disappointed. and the author is the same as the manga I've previously read before this: Dekoboko. #AthleticGuy×NerdMushroomDude #TheSenseOfKiligVanishedAsIReadThisItBecameTooRushedAndGenericRelationshipAlmostNoRomanceGoingOn

November 18, 2024 6/10 i could not add the "Gangster" tag given that i only use mobile phone while reading, and yaoi should not even be included nor involved in this manhwa as this is pure shounen-ai, a light-hearted BL to read. what i like about this manhwa despite being short and aside for the fact that has a lot of potential, is the trope/dynamic between the two main characters. idk, it's just my thing. im honestly considering of searching yet another BL with this trope. another thing, is the slow-paced romance between the two. like, there wasn't sex all of a sudden just because they find each other attractive. maybe because this is intended to be shounen-ai that there wasnt sexual activities implied between them, HOWEVER, the sudden kiss was for me a random move and just makes me think that sexual identity crisis wasn't a thing for Yuseong at all. my boy didnt even hesitate kissing Jihwan lol. all in all, it was a cute (my fav) trope, entertaining but short-lived, and effortlessly funny chibis. pretty good read, honestly. wasn't really a waste of time to spend on my remaining hours of my free day. #LunesNoClasses'CauseOfBagyongPepitoOnWeekends #ArtIsSluggishInSomePartsButCouldStillPassCozOfTheColors

January 9, 2025 6.9/10 Itonaga's the cutest and him being paired with Sanada is such a satisfaction to my love bones. I expected darker angst and drama, but eh, the original would do. I find their dynamic really cute and sexy— how they patiently and lovingly explored each other in their own way. They really seem to be genuine of their feelings towards each other, and acts on that love to brazen up and show how authentic those feelings are. This couple show characters as of a real person and development as how people in real life also progresses based on the desire they acted upon. Their emotions and feelings also felt raw that I couldn't blame when there were certain parts I find questionable. But understanding human and their nature, I find their story natural and beautiful. February 1, 2025 6.9/10 First finished manga I've read for the month of February. what a good read indeed for a short yaoi manga. it amplified the nature of life, people, and their choices. while i find the part where the mc was conscious of himself being an adult and still preys on the ml in an obviously a sexual (and i find it disturbing) way, the dream, however altered my perception of the story coz well, it turns out to be just a dream, and was the sign he needed as a push to finally pursue his ml. but i wonder if he's really into forgetting the ither guy to the point that he'll completely deny his existence so as to try to forget him. i really like their undeniable chemistry that just radiates in every panels they're in. although it was brief and could have been a great story as it has potential, I'll just settle for what's being served. #BroJumpingOntoTheTrainRailsRemindedMeThatGuyFromTokyoRevengersLolYouKnowWhoI'mTalkingAboutHere #HighschoolStudentsSureAlreadyNormalizeSuchSacredActLolYeahWhateverItsSpicyAnywayRealHot
