I remember reading this when I first started reading BL. It was a bittersweet ending for me as I was rooting for the second lead and hence I couldn't bring myself to give this a reread but I'll definitely read this again someday

I feel like I was stabbed in the chest when I read ch. 75 I thought they( weijing & jiaowen)died without ever meeting each other but they did meet although it took them so many years but they grew old together and died peacefully after living a life beside one another. I'm not sure what I feel about luiwi I wanted him to live even though he was an antagonist, maybe he loved weijing in his own sick twisted way but I thought he'll live his life without weijing and would long for him that'd be his punishment but he died. It made sense since he was a bad person after all buy I don't know that's just how I feel. This story was beautiful and while I didn't she'd years I felt my chest ache and wished for a happy ending albeit bittersweet it was happy ending indeed
