Butler
65 chapters plus side stories. Possibly complete.
Do You Still Like Me?
65 chapters. Main story is complete. Alpha x alpha. Side stories happening now. Full color. Gorgeous art. Great plot - though the depiction of time was super hard to understand in the first few chapters. I didn't realize they were flashbacks. It was confusing. Also, it wasn't clear how often, when, or where they'd met before present day...and only in the side story do you learn their history goes even further back. Still. The character development and overall story are great. Lots of sex. I was surprised that the ML toned down his "tastes" as the story progresses. I would like to know more of Dylan's story. Though it seems incredibly sad. Would recommend. Translations stayed consistent throughout.
Romance, But Not Romantic
Sweet Not Sugar
60 chapters. Complete. I really liked this. The Alpha was a serious green flag from the beginning to the end. The Omega was so traumatized yet lovely inside and out. The angst was scary but resolved...and his horrifying past wasn't beaten into the ground. I love the wrap up. An incredible palette cleanser. ️ Translation is great. There was a strange dip in art quality in the second season. They didn't look the same but I still enjoyed it.
Unfinished Business
60 chapters. Complete. Okay, this one is rough. While I liked the story itself mostly (art, dialogue, etc), I have issues. First, he was ALSO a child when they were separated. Second, no questions asked just assuming the other kid purposely abandoned him to a horrible fate. Third, he force changed his dynamic (wow). Fourth, there was...a lot of r@pe. I mean...a lot. It became exhausting to see the MC endure so much over and over again. As usual, it gave me the Stockholm Syndrome vibe at the end. I realize they were childhood friends - perhaps even fated mates given their initial reaction to each other - but to forgive your repeated (brutal) attacker without time and therapy feels cheap and unrealistic. He broke his ankle FFS. Make it make sense. Again, the foundation story is good. The art is lovely. But writers have got to figure out better ways to portray these things without glamorizing it. It's not sexy or cool. It's just r@pe and torture due to a misunderstanding between CHILDREN.
