John Loves Tite
**Spoiler** John is a Cardinal who will become the next pope so he can't marry and he was prophecized to be the person to end the war the country is going through. Tite was willing to not marry for life cause she loved John so much she was willing to become his mistress forever cause people of the church do have secret mistresses but they can't marry. John kept lying that he already has another lady he loves, while Tite kept stakling him and telling everyone her and John loves each other. She had been doing it for years, that she got so "crazy" her father locked her up in the basement to keep her from stalking John and bringing shame to the family. John visits her one time when she was locked at home and told kept telling her that he doesn't love her. He told her that the person he loves is revealed in the locket he keeps with him all the time. Tite who strongly believes he does love her won't open the locket and just blindly saying he loves her. She never opened it cause she believes he loves her so she doesn't need to see it to believe. Later on in the story, John had to sacrifice the one he loves for the public to end the war. Everyone thought he loved the other lady and was going to burn her at the stake but Tite who thinks John loves her doesn't want that so she secretly switched places with the other lady. Actually no one knew she volunteered herself cause he lied about loving Reese and then on the day when they burn her, the veil came off and it showed Tite being burned. John was so devastated when he realized it was Tite being sacrificed. He tried to stop it. The other people thought it became a fake sacrifice cause they didn't know John actually did love her, so they thought that sacrifice wouldn't work. John admit he loved her but people thought it was another "love". In fact, I think John kept denying his love the whole time was also because he might've knew about the sacrifice he would have to make, to sacrifice the person he loves to God to stop the war, so he lied about loving Tite so she doesn't get sacrificed but she took the position herself in the end anyway. She loved him and wanted to stop the war for him. Also she doesn't want him to "lie" about his love for her since she really believed he loved her. In the end she was burned at the stake. As for the very end, Reese who saw John's dropped locket, opened it and saw frays of golden hair knew immediately that John had loved Tite all along. They were strands of hair that Tite had dropped on him when she was younger. At some point she decided to gift him her hair and cut off her long hair to throw on him. He had kept strands of it and placed in the locket.
