one of my absolute favorite danmei novels and my favourite dystopian novel to date. Shisi is a genius writer and it trult deserves a manhwa adaptation with god-tier art style

This is so cute and awkward and entertaining read. Their dynamic is so refreshing and quite realistic and I love how the MC slowly explores his sexuality and eventually realises his love for our adorable puppy like ML. I also love how theres no unnecessary drama or angst involved like the ML literally wanted to get his revenge but he fell deeply in love instead thats so endearing

3.5 stars This is probably one of the bestest historical bl fantasies Ive ever read. I love the world-building, the political scheming and most of the characters are interesting. I adore Levenoad Von Strahss—hes smart, cunning, beautiful, ethereal, powerful, elegant and him as the reincarnated Ray is also a fvkng badass. Despite his amazing strategic nature, I love how he also acknowledges his mistakes and owns up to them. He might be hard-headed at times but hes also a lowkey softie. El Jiskar Fascher is the kind of toxic ML I want to be served as a main course—I love how unhinged and obsessed and possessive he is—hes willing to even dug his heart out for his beloved Ray and turned into a madman when MC ran away damn I eat this shit. Hes down bad that he’s basically the real slave between them from the moment they first met as crown princes, it’s Ray who owned Jiskar and not the other way around. I just dont like the age gap and their smexy scenes are quite uncomfortable to read. How I wish Ray could have been a little older or the same age as Levenoad. The pacing at the later chapters seems a bit rush and I was actually hoping for an arc wherein theres gonna be confrontation between Ray and the people from his homeland though the story still managed to make the conclusion quite satisfying. This is a good and entertaining read.

3.8 stars “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” spoilers I am so glad that jaewoo and hyeonjin finally get the happy ending they deserve. They went through a lot and sacrificed so many things for each other. My heart melts when they kissed at the end. I like both the MC and the ML. Jaewoo, who transmigrated as the original lousy side top, is really cute, kind-hearted and it’s enjoyable to see him cook it makes me crave korean food. I love the details and the art style of the food too. Hyeonjin, the original MC, is someone I rooted for from the beginning. I love how despite turning into an ML, he still have the traits of a main character esp the most common trope in kbls ‘living a pathetic life and paying off debt’. It’s quite refreshing to see an ML who is not filthy rich, struggling in life, soft and emotional and being taken cared of by the MC. I feel bad for Mujin thou, the original ML and the crazy top. I feel like he should have ended up with someone too. He deserves it after he decided to let jaewoo go to be with the love of his life. Though there are some moments that make me ask a lot of questions and some characters are not fleshed out properly like Mujin. Im not quite sure why he became obsessed with MC, maybe it’s the food i dont know. At least there was a blossoming romance between the main pairing. But really, jaewoo is so ship-able with all the prominent men in this story. Also fvk jaewoo’s best friend hes literally obsessed with him. Glad his sister gave in and let jaewoo returned to the novel. She deserves a cookie

Is it weird to say that this is my comfort manhwa? When I feel kinda sad and hopeless this is the one I wanna re-read to make me feel better. Also my favorite hunterverse story

I adore the manhwa adaptation but the novel hits different. I find the manhwa quite underwhelming and there were many important details/scenes from the novel that are somehow omitted. The art style also changed but it doesn’t bother me that much, maybe just the expression on their faces sometimes that seem different from what you imagine from the novel. Love the novel so much and I love cej x lsy dynamic theyre my badass cuties

match each other’s freak • red flag MC meets red flag ML The novel is both entertaining and quite frustrating at the same time. The lack of good communication between them irritates me which take a lot of chapters. Not that fond of Inseob, he’s naive and easily gets sway emotionally. Wooyeon is quite interesting, yes hes a red flag but hes also complex and his character development is good. I also like the development of his relationship with Inseob. From toxic and problematic to this sweetest couple who cannot live without each other. The manhwa adaptation is really amazing. I loveeee and adore the artist they really know how to set the mood for dark romance theyre so talented
