The Justice of Villainous Woman

Complete | Sola,Min , redice | 2000 released

I think it's interesting how before the female protagonist died she stood up to bullies and tried her best to live a life where she could be herself and be happy even if that wasn't what her family was about...I'm mean they were super sexist...but she didn't become bitter or mean to others...I definitely think her "ex-boyfriend" and "friend" needed slapping and some sort of reasoning for backstabbing someone that was kind and loyal. I do like her internal struggle in her new life to be cunning and devious over being nice to everyone since in a way even though her body's former owner was bratty she did realize that like her friend that betrayed her in her previous life the crown prince's fiancé is two-faced and devious. The female protagonist is quite clever and I think the crown prince is clever and observant as well, plus the system in this world has more to do with actual skill over birth order which is nice! The fifth prince seems really warm and fun to hang out with. It's also funny when the female protagonist is trying to expose spies and she channels the spirit of evil step mothers and sisters (lol). Also, her new parents are so kind! I like the breakdown of the nobility/royal structure from baron to emperor as well as the difference between a maid and a lady-in-waiting I got some good education on that front, and the importance of of trying at least to mend poor familiar bonds--it's a sad thing to see a big brother that doesn't adore his lil sister but given his sister's original temperment it makes some sense.

The Villain's Savior

Complete | Myeong rang,Jaessun | 2000 released

I think the god of love works in mysterious ways, but I really like that even in Ellizay's past life she had a strong connection to Aseph (reliving his nightmares and longing) who knew so much pain and misery from and early age...in her heart she knew that happiness was always out of reach for him since he is the "villain." I never seen a knew character get created specifically for the female protagonist before, it's even cooler that she ends up with a twin sister-Elissa. I'm a sucker for those soulmate marks, but it is cruel as Ellizay considers that her fated one might not share her mark...since he's the whole reason she wanted to come to that world--to give him the love he craved without it turning into something disgusting, abusive, and conditional.
