Kochou no Yumeji
When I first started reading this I thought wow this girl (Kochou) is really overworked, used, but she drove forward with a smile on her face because feeling needed by someone is such a strong force. In her human life her parents were gone most of the time so she seemed to raise herself, no real friends only people who dropped their work on her, then the only time someone seemed to genuinely spend time with her was when her uncle came to visit and he'd tell her stories of his travels. She wasn't able to find a true home until she was gifted with the dream of a butterfly by Shirogane, your friendly, wandering, seller of dreams after she dies and his favorite dream seemed to suit her well enough to not only maintain her life but to turn her into something more. I like how all the yokai took some time to get used to her and eventually they grow to really like her and find her interesting for the hybrid she is (human/yokai). Also, when I saw Saku's fox ears right after Shirogane's habit for sleeping whenever he feels like it, I was like I love foxes for one then this story is going to be fun.
This Is An Obvious Fraudulent Marriage Webtoon
The fun part about this is that I didn't know exactly how they recognize they're mutual feelings for each other...I loved how Del wanted to start calling her by a nickname so he just did so casually and she took it as a competition by giving him one back! I get that the earth and water gods wanted to suppress fire and wind gods but it was very reckless creating a being with no direction then at some point he winds up in the human world full of sounds and smells that he's unaccustomed to...I'm glad that he got a bit of warmth and kindness in his life it was wonderful seeing the changes in Del and LynLyn and how everything slowly started to tie together.
I’m a Villainous Daughter, so I’m going to keep the Last Boss
I didn't completely realize it till now but I really like the otome feel and seeing things from the supposed villian/villainess side of the story because who knew what brought them to where they are or if they really are as bad as people make them out to be...they could even be better then the "heroes/heroines". Plus I love how bothe female leads are reencartnated, but of course Irene is awesome she was confined to a hospital bed before but now she's taking control of her own fate and even allowing the demon king the life he deserves.
Sincerely: i Became a Duke’s Maid
The dark curse that envelopes Alejandro seems to be caused by or at least it doesn't help his condition at all by the fact that for so long he didn't have something that every creature needs to thrive...love...affection...someone to hold your hand and quell your fears...someone to just be there. I was thinking I've seen some pretty crummy parents but his...wow...I get that you both had a political marriage but at least love your child don't take all your misery out on him. I really like Ibelina she pretty much goes with the flow when she gets reincarnated into her current web novel, but she recognized that Alejandro got dealt a terrible hand in life and even when he found love that love abandoned him for a male protagonist who wasn't even in the story that long...anyway I like how Ibelina knows the root cause of Alejandro's temper tantrums and is so patient and kind with him it's really beautiful to watch how their relationship develops.
The Duchess' 50 Tea Recipes
I didn't know if I'd like this at first but I like that I gave it a shot...usually I like when the female protagonist starts from the bottom and works her way up into noble society, but to think that someone would be so disrespected as a duchess. The parallels between the female protagonist past self and the soul that use to inhabit the body she's in are also noteworthy since they both were used and taken for granted by those around them with no complaint on their part, which you can register the self-hatred in both their lives. When the female protagonist took strides to stand up for herself it was truly beautiful and man what happened to the Duke is the very definition of child abuse...I mean wow how can someone go to such legnths to crush a person's soul. It's bittersweet that no one took the time to know the other duchess, but the praise and friendships theat the new duchess has earned makes me happy for her and learned so much about tea!
The Villiainess Is Adored by the Crown Prince of the Neighboring Kingdom
I definiatetly like the otome geared mangas because I always wonder what happens with characters after, but for all the full of potential villains and villainesses I wonder does it always have to be a bad end for them or isn't there more to there life then glorifying the hero and heroines. What if the fabled heroine is dawned by someone who doesn't actually see people's true colors or isnt kind but possesses all the nice abilities? What if the villainess was just nagging you to be the best version of you you can be and not meaning anything nasty? I think it's ironic that until the female protagonist became the villainess she didnt understand her intentions and also that her favorite love interest isn't very observant, but the prince that would get his own sequel otome would dote on her so sweetly shocks even her---he's so cool and he doesnt even care about any other girl that comes his way!
Why are you doing this, my Duke!? Webtoon
I can say I'm more of a fan of the hot-tempered, handsome, bloodthirsty, excelled at many things except love with a tragic past when the the path to love comes slow but sure and that hot-temperedness is still there but lessened, and cute jealousy arises but throwing magic in the mix is didn't like it at first like the characters. But if I think of it like one personality made from magic and the other his original like it is it's like he has dissociative personality disorder and it doesn't hurt the male protagonist to learn from his magic personality...I think there's an inevitable blending of warmth from one to the other which is nice!
