Osuwari, Yoku Dekimashita
first time reading ‘bdsm verse’. Not my thing.
Sex Drop
Openly gay and thriving in sleeping around during his college years x closested and a little kinky. Cute couple. Not a world breaking story by any means, but sweet and cute. These two are the perfect rep for a couple that knows what works for them and do what makes them happy without listening to outside influences. A solid choice for a read.
Tell Me You Can Hear It
A short, sweet and funny romance taking a nice twist on the school idol x nerd trope. Both of the leads are loveably stupid when it comes to one another, and I appreciated their approach to communication.
Cover Up
I really enjoyed the premise of the story in the first couple of chapters as well as the characters, but I feel like the story got away from the author and it shows. There’s more violence than romance and I extremely disliked the decision to have the main love interest also harm the protagonist. They should not have ended up together. It sits at 3 stars solely based on how beautiful the art is.
I'm Yours, Blood and Soul
Although this story has an interesting concept and paced itself fairly well, I actually found myself preferring the side character’s story more. Overall a fairly nice read. Not a lot of depth, but a fun take on the supernatural side of things.
koitsu no nioi de kyousei hatsujou
Short and sweet manga. Niioka is the supervisor of a construction site and also a 32 year old man with a thing for body odor and an expressive face. And Kawaega, a 23 year old scaffolding constructor, just so happens to be his perfect match. He’s got a unique smell and a face permanently set in an accidental scowl.
Blood Bank
This is one story where you really, truly have the just ‘hear me out …’ In the beginning, it reads as a smutty and comedic BDSM webcomic with fun reverse power play dynamics and a spicy dash of horny hatred covered in a gorgeous art style. I actually nearly stopped reading early on. But the author did a great job of following their three act plan. The original chapter ‘Blood Bank’ is this exactly. As you leave the original chapter and delve into ‘Carnival’ and later ‘Masquerade’ a touching and heart aching back story is revealed. The main couple is in fact the product of more than one generation of hardship, suffering and dreams that never saw fruition. The interpersonal relationships explored are painful and raw and I found myself falling in love with them more and more every page. For a story with less than a hundred chapters, I truly can’t believe the author managed to so gracefully build a world, follow a plot and explore a relationship.
Sadistic Madness
Interesting concept with gorgeous art, but the story is simply too big to be told in 6 chapters. Overall felt rushed and unfulfilling. Also kinda boring that the pair switch over to the bottom being bratty rather than being dominant after they get together.
Assorted Wildness
These two are the epitome of being batshit crazy but also made for each other. I have never before seen a pair where if you look at everything they’ve done to each other outside of the relationship, it’d be easy to say they need to go to jail and never see each other again. But instead my heart was physically aching every time they got split up. The writing for this story was spot on with a perfect mix of comedy and sexy. The pink and black haired combos are always a personal favorite and these two will forever be in the top of the list <3
