I Have To Be A Great Villain
By the same author as Kiss the Abyss, this comic takes the a very different approach. Our leading man is a pink haired sadist by nature and likely an undiagnosed sociopath with a good heart. After accidentally causing the death of his highschool classmates he is recruited by a system to travel worlds and stand in as the villainous characters. Cue: the love interest. In the original world they meet brothers but after living out his roll as the villain, the lead is perturbed to discover that this ‘brother’ of his has been able to read his mind all along and has developed a strange penchant for being bullied by him.
Cover Up
I really enjoyed the premise of the story in the first couple of chapters as well as the characters, but I feel like the story got away from the author and it shows. There’s more violence than romance and I extremely disliked the decision to have the main love interest also harm the protagonist. They should not have ended up together. It sits at 3 stars solely based on how beautiful the art is.
Full volume
they’re kinky, horny and mutual fans of each other’s work - what more could you ask for?? Oh, entirely green flags from them both? Got it! A nice dash of possessiveness that doesn’t take it far? Yeap! Plus a variety of kinky scenes that’ll guarantee at least something of your flavor, a gorgeous art style that makes them both look wonderfully even when getting wrecked, touching, emotional scenes and comedy tied in between all of the sex, cute and goofy animal representations … AND an absolutely massive rack?? Yeah just read it. tw/ the bottom in this series experiences financial manipulation and coercion NOT at the hands of the tops
Blood Bank
This is one story where you really, truly have the just ‘hear me out …’ In the beginning, it reads as a smutty and comedic BDSM webcomic with fun reverse power play dynamics and a spicy dash of horny hatred covered in a gorgeous art style. I actually nearly stopped reading early on. But the author did a great job of following their three act plan. The original chapter ‘Blood Bank’ is this exactly. As you leave the original chapter and delve into ‘Carnival’ and later ‘Masquerade’ a touching and heart aching back story is revealed. The main couple is in fact the product of more than one generation of hardship, suffering and dreams that never saw fruition. The interpersonal relationships explored are painful and raw and I found myself falling in love with them more and more every page. For a story with less than a hundred chapters, I truly can’t believe the author managed to so gracefully build a world, follow a plot and explore a relationship.
Who Can Define Popularity?
A good, heart touching webcomic with a fun, fleshed out cast of characters. The backstories are touching and not a single story is left unturned.
Under the Green Light
I know, you know it - we all know it: Jin is hands down one of the hottest BL characters to ever exist. He’s gorgeous and complicated and self sacrificing, but also dangerous and sexy and mysterious. Oh and Matthew’s there. Just jokes. In actuality, this is my probably my favorite yakuza-type BL and a BL that sits safely in my top ten. The relationship between these two is written very well and the art is stunning. There’s something about the dark air of the story combined with the minimally expressive faces the artist has mastered that amps the story up so well. Jin supremacy. I was only half joking earlier. Let that man have whatever tf he wants
BJ alex
We all know it, we all love it. It’s basically a BL classic at this point. Normally BJ Alex would sit at a 4 star rating for me as I didn’t particularly love the main pair … but not other story has BJ MD and Chanwoo so it gets that 5th star <3
Ore no Saioshi o Kimi ni Sasagu
I have never felt more joy than I feel having found a manga that perfectly suits my tastes. The only downside is that it was finished in one volume and I can’t read more about their lives. Mako is baby girl. <3
