Dictatorship
FL is ex soldier and becomes bodyguard of son of sultan to get family out of debt. People want him dead, but she is far more concerned about her own life. ML is terrifying and likes threatening her. They already met during war, where she spared his life. She fails to protect him from assassination attempt, so she has to keep taking care of his wound. He confesses love even when she is still scared. Her sister visits and is kidnapped as FL should kill Prince. He finds out and kills enemies. Sends her away as he cleans up before following her later. Get married and have children Great story. Incredibly interesting characters and especially the ML is intimidating as hell. I barely ever found any "monster of the battlefield" scary, but he is portrayed so scarily. But why romance? As of chapter 50, ML tried to kill FL a few times. He claims to love her, but I don't see it with how he keeps treating her like crap. He's a great antagonist, but I really don't want her to end up with him. The second half of the story felt like a separate story. It's sweet that the ML became a loving father and husband, but the change does seem odd. I feel like the start shouldn't have been so severe if they were going to end up in typical romance ending. Though, I appreciate that no tragedy struck. Not sure if any of this is culturally appropriate. Seems to be fiction focused, so I just read it as this 14/04/23
Beware of the Villainess!
FL enters novel as Melissa Podebrat, the arrogant daughter of a Duke. Her fiance is shitty crown prince she now wants to get rid of. The original novel also had her brother (an arrogant mage), an aggressive werewolf and a yandere business man. All are quite shitty until real life, so FL tries to protect heroine while ending her engagement. Picks up werewolf that us her future Lover in the process. Defeat ML's evil step brother who kidnapped heroine and save her. Hints at the fact that heroine goes through time loop and is forced to endure stupid situations again and again. Monsters attack and FL defends everyone while defeating goddess that wanted to force will of story. Perfect round ending I love it. One of the best OGs. The humor is impeccable and I love the FL. The characters are all funny, and I love how they criticize the original novel. The male Lead is super sweet and devoted. The FL also gets along with the heroine, which is great too. All the characters are is lovable, from the whiny Nine to her greedy maid, Yona... I find everyone amusing and want them to be happy I rarely ever feel so happy when finishing a Manwha, but this one ended perfectly. I could have cried because it was done so well. Everything was wrapped up, no loose threads and no dragging out story points. Character development done well even for side characters like crown prince. Super pretty art too Always makes me laugh. One of the absolute best masterpieces 26/04/23
The Predatory Marriage Between the King and the Paladin
FL is princess of kingdom and is mistreated. Eventually gets revenge on those who wronged her, takes over the nation and forces childhood sweetheart to marry her. Treats him coldly since convinced he joined some noble lady as concubine while leaving her behind when they were teens. Backstory of how they met and he had to flee shown. Then they finally solve misunderstanding (house ML built wasn't for other woman but for her). Happy ending with them reigning with small daughter The ML is the hero of this. He is so sweet and devoted and also forgiving. I can't put into words how much I wish him all the best in this world FL isn't a good person. ML did want to sleep with her, but she still forced herself on him and treated him shitty for no reason. Wish they had just talked earlier, but I guess the FL had no trust in anyone left. Very morally gray relationship, mainly toxic from her side. In the end, they always loved one another though and had happy end. Most side characters are trash, from her abusive stepmother and siblings to the priest that sold children to nobles. They deserved what FL did to them. The backstory about the abbey was also heartwrenching. The ML was hurt so much, which is horrible. 27/04/23
I Stole The Male Lead's First Night
FL enters novel as count's daughter and attends ball. Ends up being drunk and wakes up with ML, cold and dangerous Duke. He insists on marriage to take responsibility for first night while she rejects him for a while. They end up fighting after she pretends to be hurt and he finds out but make up and get closer. The FL becomes close friend of the heroine in the meantime and argues with the villainess, a rich noble girl that wants Duke and can't accept rejection. FL and ML prepare for wedding while she overexhausts herself upon founding business. She is kidnapped by villainess, but Duke saves her and villainess is sent to monastery. Second arc is best one. ML is forced to go to war as prince approaches FL. Prince wants to kill duke and marry FL to become duke, but she jumps out of window and ML catches her. Then FL finds out that she shares traits with original owner of body, who used spell to switch places. Fears that the world will end when she has happy end, so tries to delay marriage. Tells Duke in the end. Villainess suddenly comes back and sets fire while stabbing FL. FL is pulled to original world, where her new body's soul lives happily. Decide to stay where they are now. She returns and all happy. Finds out that villainess grew insane and lives on streets but has chance at new life with help of some girl. Prepare for marriage as ML stalls because he finally wants to propose properly. Extra stories where they help king's concubine move away to finally end relationship for the sake of prince. Epilogue with answered questions and really cute round finish This is definitely more humor. Can't read this while taking everything seriously. Ultimately, the Duke forces FL to marry him against her will and threatens her when she rejects him. Quite toxic. But the Manwha isn't supposed to be serious here either. Still, I dislike how the ML keeps ordering her around Many jokes. Almost all characters are amusing at some points, especially the heroine that keeps making FL feel bad by talking badly about herself and maid that helps FL despite being confused by her. Liked second arc with prince since conflict wasn't misunderstanding but was quickly solved. Merely felt the SA attempt should have been mentioned again but FL suddenly felt fine after Third arc is frustrating with how FL thinks that the world will end, tries to run away and only tells ML when he catches her. Communication is key. Luckily, she doesn't draw it out for long. Not sure if I liked that the villainess suddenly came back. That seemed random. But I guess she got her round ending now. Just wish MC and maid had just fucking tackled her The ending made me quite emotional. The last few panels are just perfect One of OGs 03/05/23
Beware of the Brothers!
FL is adopted by ducal couple since she looks like their deceased daughter. Brothers bully her, but she endures until ready to marry. Goes back in time though. Is annoyed since can't leave house and has to quarrel with children but grows closer to them. Parents die anyway though Aunt comes to house and bullies FL. FL doesn't trust brothers, but they eventually find out and help her. Brother struggles to keep family under control as siblings stay with friend's family for a few years. Then the reunite and navigate noble society. ML has fiancee, who loves prince and eventually gets with him. Engagement broken and he confesses to FL. Slow romance. Worried about reactions and brothers find out Random noble lady hates FL and troubles her numerous times. Tries to kill her duringhhunt and is caught. Arrested for life Suddenly evil aunt and uncle show up again and free girl to make her attack ML, who pretends to be hurt I really like the story and did so ever since first reading it. But I feel like it's a bit too quick and episodic sometimes. Scenes suddenly end or switch and important events happen far too quickly (like death of parents and time skip) Interesting family dynamic. Brothers are all interesting in their own way and conflict with parents is important too. Trauma seems to make all of them neglect or abuse each other. Not an excuse though. I find that the parents really messed up, and I personally wouldn't forgive a brother for pushing me outside in the snow either Also don't know why FL just let aunt beat her. She could easily have avoided that issue instead of enduring it for no reason. She also doesn't communicate when her brother's fiancee and the prince fall in love (brother doesn't love fiancee, so she could break off engagement and be happy) The story has some jarring plot twists, including that they inserted communication orbs into the story and never used them again. Also don't know why the siblings couldn't meet during time skip. Seems odd. Antagonists have no agency and are comically evil. Don't know why ML (who allegedly kills do quickly) can't just deal with them before they cause issues I knew who the ML was before but still wasn't fond of beginning of romance. It happened too quickly without any changing signs. Also feels odd since ML suddenly started saying super possessive stuff. Don't like that the other brother likes her too and that all family members seem to adore her and have no other connections in life Feel like the regression part was unnecessary. The story mainly progressed as it originally did anyway. The last story points felt odd, a bit too boring and simple. The enemies were weak and the plot twist about FL being noble (apparently added in manwha) was never hinted at. Overall strong beginning but quite weak end 11/05/23
30 Day Fiancée
FL almost dies and Goddess sends her to other world instead. She falls onto Duke, who summons women to pretend to be his fiancee for short time to avoid marriage with her. He wants to secure his son's position with that (but Son turns out to be his brother's). FL has to learn etiquette quickly to convince everyone that she is truly a noble lady. Clishe start. Could have interesting point with ML having child, but the author didn't pull through with that. FL seems to do her best while also being pushed into a situation where she doesn't have any choices. I like her. ML is whipped for her almost immediately. Love the princess, the antagonist. Her plot with the mage and her relationship to the duke's Son are super interesting. Especially since the duke's Son seems to be a bit obsessed with her, saying things like that he wants to lock her in. Far more interesting than MC. Story had a lot of potential with the antagonists and business plots. Cancelled at 50 chapters though 07/06/23
Would You Like a Cup of Tea?
FL reincarnated into novel as side character that will die due to war. Can read memories of people and objects by touch. Walks around with childhood friend, who has a crush on her, and meets heroine (woman that will start war) amf brother of emperor. Later has to testify for emperor since she was present during Party where lady handed out drug. She tries to prevent war. Somehow her heart always races around brother of emperor though, and he acts like he knows her. Emperor does too. I actually guess that her childhood friend might be the emperor somehow (don't think that matches the dialogue with the emperor who dropped the "interesting" line. But he is sus). All three men have some sort of secret. I like the childhood friend most though Childhood friend isn't the emperor. He is mad sus though. I feel like the necklace somehow influences FL's ability to read past I actually like the story. It's a bit different with some interesting twists. Can't really see through anyone or guess plottwists yet. The art is very pretty. The characters are funny, especially the FL and her sisters The ending wasn't really rushed, but it felt like it could have been longer. The romance with the childhood friend was so sudden, even for me who liked him the most. Her relationship with the emperor and his brother went nowhere. No one mentioned why those two were so interested in her or why her heart beat fast around the prince. I thought there would be some backstory here. Also would have liked to see the motivations for the original heroine, who wanted a war but never said why. The commander of the enemy nation that loves her sister didn't really have enough screen time either Super interesting world building, but not much was done with it. Could have used 15 more chapters to go into some detail. Story had quite interesting bits despite obvious clishe of barely important reincarnation and power and everyone being Obsessed with her. The art is pretty. I enjoyed it a lot for some reason. 12/07/23
This Is An Obvious Fraudulent Marriage Webtoon
FL is from fallen kingdom that now belongs to empire. Has to marry Noble to keep status as countess. Visits information guild to find suitable contact husband for one year. Man she talks with is helper of emperor though, gets interested and just offers himself as candidate. She finds out he is known murderer and is scared. He is already obsessed though. FL takes a while to trust him and they eventually confess to one another. Hints that they knew each other in previous life. He was created by God to seal gods, and she is some sort of star. One of gods appears as lady in waiting and other one tries to kill ML Her cousin (whom she was supposed to marry but rejected) comes back and wants her. She rejects. Side story about King who always loved his head maid and started rebellion to save her from his brother Feels like the reincarnation part was unnecessary. It doesn't play a role at all Changed my mind. The whole god storyline was more important than anything else. It was interesting too. I dragged out the reading a lot, but I found the magic and reincarnation interesting. Only thing that bothers me is that everyone seems to adore FL for no reason. I normally don't mind but it's really extrem here. Also feel like couple was a bit too awkward about their first time. But they are very cute otherwise. Definitely great ML even if he is a bit insane Loved the side couples, especially how the emperor and the lady in waiting were resolved. He let her return to her nation and gave back her power before asking for new chance. They chose to start again Didn't like that they became rulers since that seems like responsibilty isn't what they want. Their children are very cute and I am elated that ML didn't get jealous but dotes on them. 31/08/2023
