The Tiger Who Swallowed The Moon
Most of the characters are mean or just do bad things. I usually still like trash characters but their personalities are a bit cliche for me to find them too interesting. I'm mostly drawn in by the concept of a regular human warming up the cold heart of a vampire.
The Fifth Encounter
Theif keeps interrupting a lonely boy from committing suicide. They help each other's trauma. The backgrounds are detailed & lovely. The coloring makes everything stand out more & give emotion. The theif & boy conveniently have really similar lives but I'll let my suspension of disbelief look past that.
Day Off
Cute fluff vignettes about the romance of a boss & his subordinate. It's them being cute & lovey dovey.. Pretty art with flat coloring, aesthetic color palettes, & good graphic design.
Saranghaetang
2020. Poor deadbeat artist pursues dreams of becoming a popular comic author while visiting convenience store to boy he likes. Pretty drawings with soft, rounded edges, & blocky shapes. Detailed shading on coloring. Edit: mc is loser so dropping.
Dear Gene
Kid from the present day '90s spends time at his Uncle Trevor's house in NY to sightsee, on the condition to help his Uncle clean his study. While tidying he finds an old journal.. This story takes place in the 1970s & is about Uncle Trevor's love with a man named Gene. Too beautiful for words so far. I hope this gets completed one day
Homework of the Mind
Art style reminds me of '90s. Has a theme of accepting change or learning to move on in life. Love the dialogue. It gives bits of information in an indirect interesting way which makes one think. What I take away from this, is that is was kind of hard to understand. I think they got to dumb it down for a dumb-dumb like me I couldn't always follow characters thinking or logic. I've read all I need to
VENTHAM
Fucked past & present story of a serial killer & a hypocritical priest in a church. 6/5/22: I might need to revisit this one again sometime. This was really doing cool things
