It feels messy because characters are hard to identify. Re-read and it's GOOD. Stories are mourning radio host and peppy cafe owner, yakuza heir and brother of the one that got killed in an accident, their neighbor and a guy he literally picked of a street along with a cat in a heavy rain. Dramatic, serious tone, but not duchey or pretentious. Just sad but filled with happy endings.

Kiriya can take his clothes off in 0.7 seconds. I really like how sensei draws serious as cancer panels all charged with emotions, and then the next panel is some goofy ass face with an actual *funny* one-liner joke. The tone is very real-lifey. Awesome read.
