I Have Become the Heroes' Rival
Honest review and thoughts! ️ Read until the recent chapter as of now July 17th, 2022: CHAPTER 45. The art is PHENOMENAL, beyond words and it is breath-takingly beautiful. However, the plot of the story is not so much progressing, it is either: 1. The story is slow (considering how the romance sort of spiked out of nowhere, I doubt so) 2. It is incompletely portrayed as it was on the novel (which is maybe more compacted and detailed, I have yet to read the novel so I cannot say for sure). ---------------------- Thoughts (my opinion so don't kill me for this ) 1. MC is...useless, for the first bits of the chapters Chapter 1-40, nothing new nor striking to remember the MC for except for her flowery words that can pull the characters lol. She needs protection from the main characs like Felix and Chloe. Not sure if it's just a slow progression since as far as I've seen in recent chapters, it is JUST now showing her character development (like her improving on alchemy or making in potions). 2. The romance on the MC's side is a bit off tracked. It was not much shown how she felt towards Felix (romantically) since it only showed the perspective of Fel AS OF RECENT CHAPTERS. 3. I feel like there's too many things going on in the novel that the manhua version can only summarize up to much the main points without dragging it for too long. Considering we're in chapter 45 now, not much actual progression in the plot has thickened (Chloe's improvements, Irene's above all (cuz compared to other characters, she is the slowest), and most importantly Fel's condition with the devil).
