And the young man who figured out the vaccine for a similar virus is out saving people and doing research on the front lines. But he as he tries to lead the survivors back to district 1, who built a wall to keep the mist/virus and all the people they deemed lesser than themselves out, he deals with dissension amongst the group for his cold practical behavior and flashbacks to his senior in college who he had a crush on but was estranged from for working on the vaccine. More of an action story than a love story so it's fine as shounen ai. Takes almost 20 chapters to meet the ML anyway
