Still, Shinokawa keepds trying to get closer to Kaede until one drunken night, Kaede admits he likes anal play, and Shinokawa decides to shoot his shot. After that, Shinokawa insists they're dating, no matter what Kaede says. Shinokawa is a bit pushy, but I enjoy Kaede's manly shyness. Trigger warning: drunk intimacy. Ch.4-5 - Past our Complexes - Itsuki is a shy, quiet kid who seems totally opposite to the popular and handsome Yura, but secretly the two are friends who have bonded over their inability to handle talking to women. Now Yura wants to take their relationship one step further, but Itsuki still sees them as friends. When Itsuki asks Yura to help him speak to girls more, Yura invites a girl into their friend group, and the dynamic between them changes. Cute enough, I wish the girl got to have her own story more, but I get that it's not about her. No trigger warnings.

But when she becomes an adult, she learns that due to her familial ties to a mermaid, she's cursed so that she has to hear the one she loves say that he loves her once a week or she will die. After that she and Mimi move in together and he fulfills the requirement as they grow closer, but even though they're living a happy couple's life, Mimi still can't bring himself to totally accept her love since he feels like she could do better. Honestly, very little conflict, mostly just two idiots in love. No trigger warnings.

Rikuya is a manly and strong bodyguard who's trying to forget his high school days, when he was so obsessed with sex with his boyfriend, Miharu, he felt like he had to break up with him. But when Miharu, now an acclaimed author, approaches Rikuya for help with a stalker, Rikuya finds himself hounded on every side by Miharu's attempts to get back together, even as he tries to stay strong, as much for the sake of Miharu and his writing as his own. Honestly, I think it's an interesting premise to have someone hire their ex as a bodyguard to help with a stalker, but the execution is rough when Miharu is such a pushy rapist. It's an okay read with decent smut, but not special. Trigger warnings: drug, rape, stalker.

Ch.1-2 - The Pure Merman - The merman Sango has it rough working as a human to help provide for his siblings, especially since mermaids can never lie, or they'll turn into foam. After being demoted again, Sango ends up working for the president Minami, who quickly learns that Sango is a mermaid and can't lie and becomes enamored of his honest way of life. Cute and comedic. Trigger warning: cheating. Ch.3 - Hercules? Hercules! - Hercules is a Hercules beetle who just wants to comfort and help Keita, the human who cares for him and his other bugs so well that it keeps interfering with his relationship. The bug god gives Hercules the chance, transforming him into a human and tasking him with teaching Keita how to be considerate of others. Should he succeed, he can stay a human with Keita, but if he fails, it's back to bug life for him. An odd premise, but Hercules is very cute and sweet. No trigger warnings. Ch.4-5 - The White Snake and the Prince - The white snake Shiro has been kicked out of the forest by other animals who don't like his strange coloring. He's sad, but that's when he runs into Ohji, a human who tells him he was searching for the beautiful white snake to keep him from being captured by humans who want to put him in a shrine. But Shiro is so happy to have found his "prince," he takes human form and offers to be the god of the shrine! Also very cute. Trigger warning: kidnapping. Ch.6 - Busted! The Ombudsman Club - Hazuki, the sudent council president, is trying to disband the ombudsman club, which is really a ghost fighting club led by his childhood friend Mei. Hazuki says it's because they just mess around and no one knows what they do, but really, he's worried Mei is putting himself in harm's way fighting ghosts. But when Hazuki follows to see what the club does, he ends up getting in harm's way, himself. Trigger warning: mention of murder, mention of suicide. Ch.7 -Shall We Study? - Nozomi has been accepted to a prestigious cram school, so he goes to check it out. But while being guided by Kurogawa, he finds every classroom to be some kind of boy love fantasy between the teachers and students and gets totally freaked out. He finally says he'd only stay if Kurogawa could be his teacher, but to his surprise, Kurogawa says that could be arranged. This one is weird and felt like it was missing some supernatural element that never got explained. Trigger warning: power dynamic (teacher/student), noncon. Ch.8 - Found Love With You - Shino is a student who just can't remember things he doesn't care about and Yamato is his best friend. The only problem is, Shino is feeling awkward ever since he kissed Yamato and told him he forgot about it the next day, while Yamato seems to suddenly hate him! No trigger warnings.

Hajime and Yoshita have been friends all their lives, so when Hajime learns that Yoshita is cross-dressing and uploading photos to social media, Hajime is worried. Yoshita says he just wants someone to see him dressed cutely, so Hajime offers to come see him whenever he wants. Ch.3 - The Flower of War - Julius and Leon were childhood friends who were torn apart by war only to be reunited on opposite sides when Leon was taken as a prisoner of war and Julius was the one to interrogate him. Julius rapes Leon night after night without questioning him, leaving Leon hurt and confused, but Julius has more up his sleeve than Leon realizes.. Trigger warnings: wartime violence, torture, rape. Ch.4 - The Moral Code of Love - When Jin was taken in by the yakuza boss after the death of his parents, the boss's son Masamune immediately wanted him, but his dad said he wasn't ready for that, and he could have Jin when he was strong enough to take over the clan. Now, Jin is assigned to work with Masamune for the first time, but Masamune realizes Jin and his father may still be hiding things from him. Trigger warning: violence. Ch.5 - My Hero - When Asami is nearly raped by some bullies (adult bullies?), he's saved by tough guy Shuuhei and vows to get stronger, asking Shuuhei to teach him to fight. The two get closer as Asami starts training to increase his stamina, but when Asami sees that Shuuhei is actually a member of the yakuza, Shuuhei tries to put an end to things. But Asami isn't ready to let go. Trigger warnings: bullying, attempted rape, violence. Ch.6 - Cosplay Game - Makoto and Keiji are an established couple, but when Keiji suddenly asks about cosplay, Makoto worries his lover is bored with their sex life and tries to spice things up. Ch.1 & 6- The Conquest King of a Wasteland - When the warlord Azim invades Ulra's nation, Ulra attempts to assassinate him on behalf of his people. Azim catches him, rapes him, then lets him go, but Ulra finds he has nowhere to go back to. However, Azim is ready to give Ulra a place to belong. Trigger warnings: rape, attempted suicide. Ch.2 - Truthful Words - Kaname has been friends with his stoic, younger neighbor Shouta for years, but after his most recent breakup, Kaname comes over while Shouta is trying to drown his sorrows. Then, Shouta unexpectedly gains the ability to read Kaname's mind, and realizes Kaname is thinking about him a lot more than he ever thought. No trigger warnings. Ch.3 - The Twins’ Lover - Youhei lost his parents at a young age and was taken in by his master and raised alongside his twin sons Rei, and Jin. Now that Youhei is reaching adulthood and his master is ill, Rei and Jin's relatives are pressing the boys to kick him out. Rei and Jin would never do it, but Youhei worries that he'll burden them, especially as his feelings have gone beyond friendship. But when he tries to leave, the twins aren't ready to let him. No trigger warnings. Ch.4 - Garden - Kengo is the gardener's grandson at a large estate that was recently inherited by the young master Masumi. When they were children, Masumi sexually abused Kengo, and now that he's an adult, he threatens to fire Kengo as well. But Kengo is ready to turn the tables on him this time. I really hated this one, would not read again. Trigger warning: child on child sexual abuse, noncon. Ch.5 - The Love Call to the Master - Yuuki's father is deeply in debt, so he drugs him and sells him to Midou, who says he'll make Yuuki into a prostitute. But really Midou has had his eye on Yuuki for a long time and is delighted to have him now. Even worse than the last story, will not read again. Yoshiharu is the number two in a yakuza gang and he should inherit it from his grandmother. The only problem is, Yoshiharu is an omega, and the yakuza world is still very alpha supremacist. Worried about her grandson facing all this alone, his grandmother forces Yoshiharu to attend wedding interviews that all go terribly, until one guy drugs him. Yoshiharu is out of it, but he swears he smells the pheromones of his fated pair, but the only person there, his faithful retainer Makoto, says there was no one. Then, only days later, Yoshiharu smells it again and realizes Makoto isn't the beta he thought he was, and is actually his fated pair. But while Yoshiharu is ready to go all in on Makoto despite his general hatred of alphas, Makoto struggles to believe in Yoshiharu's feelings or that he could ever be good enough. I liked that Yoshiharu's character was strong and not a pushover, even though he was an omega, though he was rescued once. ️Trigger warnings: drug (heat), attempted rape.
