Hidamari ga Kikoeru
Sagawa Taiichi is a good-natured but impetuous college student who falls (literally) into the life of Sugihara Kouhei, a law student with a bad reputation due to his hearing disability. They agree to trade note-taking for lunches, and soon they become closer and Taichi gets Kouhei to laugh again, gradually opening him back up. But as they continue through school, jobs, and relationships, it can feel like everything is pulling them apart. A longer but very well written story about a pure love between two boys who seem to complete each other. I think the author went to a lot of effort to develop strong characters and to depict hearing impairment and deafness from multiple perspectives, and it shows. Trigger warning: discrimination.
Online Game Nakama to Sashi Off shitara Shokuba no Onijoushi ga Kita.
Hashimoto (online name aaaaa) is always complaining about his demon boss Shirase to his best in-game friend, UMA. But when the two arrange for a real world meetup, low and behold, UMA is his boss and Hashimoto feels super awkward about it. But Shirase doesn't want to lose his one good friend, and they end up gaming together a lot. So cute and fluffy, no trigger warnings.
Okome-chan
Okone-san is the size of a grain of rice. Or is he a handsome man? Or is he a beautiful girl? He's some creature, and he's fallen in love with pure-hearted Shouki, so they're introducing him to the family. Love conquers all! Very silly, but even though it's kinda impossible to follow, it made me laugh a lot.
Tabenai no? Ookami san
Tarou was left in the forest as a child as a sacrifice for the wolfman, Ul. Ul says he's way too small to be a sacrifice, so he ends up raising Tarou, assuring him that he'll eat him one day, while really, he waits for Tarou to become big and strong enough to run away and live on his own. They're very cute, and Tarou is such a sweetheart, though obviously they're going for a romance between these two despite that guardian/child relationship. Trigger warning: incest themes (guardian)
The Hundred-Year Crystal Catalogue
Geologist and professor Bent meets a young boy, Iris, who eats gemstones to survive, and the two begin traveling together. But Bent knows more about Iris than he lets on, and Iris has been targeted for his ability in the past and may be again. This story was fine as a slice of life, but not especially compelling to me. Trigger warnings: genocide, kidnapping, trafficking, lying.
Jingai-san no Yome
High school student Tomari is told one day that he's to be the wife of a strange creature called Kanenogi. Turns out there's a lot of these marriages with non-humans going around their school, and all the couples are super cute.
Kamisama to Tobenai Tsukai
Shin is a winged messenger meant to serve the gods of the surrounding mountains, but he's constantly getting into fights due to his small wings. The main god then assigns him to a minor god on the most distant mountain, Mountain #32, and Shin meets the kind fluffball he will serve, who he names Baku. He and Baku get closer as he learns that Baku can transform into a human and that he eats the polluting miasma that would taint or kill others, but Shin can't help but feel he's forgetting something, while Baku worries that he's not worthy to be Shin's god after all. Very cute, although I felt like the explanation for Shin's missing memories was a bit forced. Trigger warning: bullying.
Bara no Oniwa no Kemono-tachi
Chihana is a college student with two pets: Neko and Inu (cat and dog). Neko belonged to Chihana's grandmother before her death, and Chihana was the one to save him from his loneliness, so Neko loves Chihana. Meanwhile, Inu is in love with Neko, but Neko ignores his affection. But when Chihana's childhood friend suddenly returns and Chihana is very obviously in love, how will his kitty handle the feeling of loss? Very cute, no trigger warnings
Yuri!!! on Ice - On Love (Doujinshi)
A continuation of the story where Yuri got pregnant and ran away. They are back together, but their cute, young daughter is having trouble understanding who is daddy now. No trigger warnings.
Mahoroba No Hibi
