In a modern world with several old families descended from animal spirits and monsters, ogres are known for being especially romantic as they fall in love only once with their "blossom of fate." Hana is busy working at her adoptive parents' restaurant and assumes rumors of the young ogre lord searching for his blossom have nothing to do with her, until she meets the ogre Mitsuki and feels the spark for herself. This story is all over the place. It's as if every chapter they introduce a new conflict only to either resolve it or forget about it by the end of the chapter, and yet it also feels like nothing really happens, perhaps because it doesn't build up enough. It wasn't compelling, but the boyfriend was good about consent, so there's that. If you want to read it for the smut, go ahead. No trigger warnings.

Sheltered and rich young schoolgirl Botan falls head over heels for the train attendant Koganei who saved her during her first attempt to use the public transit system. After that, she starts stalking and eventually confesses to Koganei, who swiftly rejects her. But to protect her maidenly heart, her butler creates a love contract to get Koganei to date her with the goal of leaving her with good memories but ultimately getting her to break up. Koganei figures it won't take long, because outside of work he's a total asshole, so she'll surely give up soon. But her tenacity and obsessiveness is greater than he realizes and begins to wear him down. Trigger warning: relationship with a minor.

Maiko is a 30-year-old office worker who feels that she's lost her chance to ever lose her virginity by this point in life. As Maiko tries to work up the courage to lose her virginity, whether with her high school boyfriend (who she doesn't realize is married), a random man she met at a pottery class (who turns out to be an asshole) or the printer maintenance man (with whom she shares an interest with in an arcade fighting game), we also get to learn about her coworkers, one of whom is balancing life with a new baby, one of whom recently broke up with his girlfriend over the realization he's asexual, and one (Maiko's boss) has just realized she may have put so much effort into work that she's pushed her love away. This is an interesting slice of life story that shows many relationships going on in this office while focusing on Maiko without falling back on a lot of the tired tropes you see in office romance manga. Which she quickly does, but she finds out women often use the curse excuse as a come on, so now even when she does manage to get close to him, she just can't admit that she needs help with this!
