In a world where basilisks and cockatrices secretly live among humans, an innocent cockatrice named Sora is sent to a school full of basilisks on a secret mission to get close to the student council president, Rin, but he immediately forgets his mission and falls in love with Rin's delinquent brother, Kai, instead. It was a bit chaotic and wacky, but I liked what I read of it. Still, I only read through chapter 5 because it felt like a good stopping point. Trigger warnings: violence, abduction.

Avel comes from a tribe who determines their gender at their first sexual experience. He'd always expected to become the chief, but after being saved by a member of the shark-descended rival tribe, Tukiri, the two are unexpectedly swept away by heat-like symptoms and mate. Now Avel has no choice but to be an offering to the rival tribe, but when he arrives, it's nothing like he thought. I liked this story more than I thought I would, but the mystery they build up around why the tribes do things the way they do has a disappointing conclusion, imo. 1-3 Zenya Kitataka always grew up around animals and misses it at college, so he thinks maybe he's hallucinating when he first sees cat ears on fellow student Takeru Nekoya's head. But it turns out Takeru's family has long been possessed by a cat demon, and only their mate can see the ears and tail. Takeru just wasn't expecting his to be a boy. No trigger warnings. 4 - Double Effect -Ren Misaki is a radio DJ, and his coworker Soichiro Uozumi is always watching him. His straightforward gaze gets Ren hot and bothered, so he ends up coming to work with a vibrator inside him. What will happen when the two finally come forward about what they feel? 5 - Overdrive - Keita Ikoma is a new worker who becomes the manager of a band, and he happens to know one of the members, Ryosuke, from his own days in a cover band. But when Ryosuke looks down on him, Keita becomes all the more determined to get the band in the spotlight and prove his worth.

Rose was isekaied into the role of the villainess in a game she played as the fiance of crown prince Theo, but when the game is supposed to begin, she and Theo suddenly go into heat and find out they're "the one" for each other. Though Rose likes Theo, she knows that their marriage will lead to the bad end, so when he suggests trying to get their engagement ended, the couple set out on a journey to break up. So far pretty stereotypical, it only stands out as a romance fantasy webtoon because it has smut. I dropped off somewhere between ch 20-30. Trigger warning: dubcon (heat)

Azuki is a rare species beastman who gets kidnapped from his island home and sold to a man in the north who plans to cook him up and serve him to his sick master, Kirito, under the belief that rare species meat can cure any disease. But Kirito is a kind man who has been releasing the beastmen his subordinate buys for years now, and he promises to do the same for Azuki, even if they have to pretend to have sex to keep his subordinate off their backs in the meantime. But even when their feelings for each other start to grow, can Kirito overcome his trauma and the parasite making him ill, both inherited from his evil father, to truly love Azuki? An interesting setup. I especially like the brief crossover in the afterstory. Trigger warnings: human trafficking, dubcon(heat), mention of cannibalism, mention of rape, child abuse.

Ch.1-9.5 - Towa is a clownfish/rabbit chimera who has been warned that his species attracts everyone, but especially lions, and they need to stay away or risk their own downfall. But he's also a model, and when his company brings in a new group of carnivores, low and behold, two of them are lions, and one of them is Issei, a man who Towa met at a party many years ago who instantly seemed to awaken his desires. Though Towa tries to stay away, Issei is persistent, but even if Towa is willing to be with a lion, will his family allow it? Trigger warnings: dubcon, noncon. Ch.5-6 - Stuck in the middle of the above story, we have Ririsu(Lillith), a nurse who's getting stalked but finds it exciting and his student Adam, who is not about to let this nurse go. But once they're happily together, Ririsu's old fuck buddy, Satan, shows up to show Adam how to really pleasure Ririsu. More smut than story. Trigger warnings: stalking, noncon, NTR.

Haru is an omega who was badly abused all his life until he was suddenly summoned to another world full of beastmen, where he learned he's the mate of the black panther leader, Viano. Though Viano tries so hard to treat Haru gently that he avoids him for a year, the two eventually overcome it and become a lovey-dovey couple trying to find a cure to Haru's bad health. It was fine, but I lost interest and didn't read past chapter 12. Trigger warnings: kidnapping, rape: gangrape, noncon (hypnosis).
