Maya and Claudine are both alphas working together for law enforcement. Although the two are always fighting and trying to beat each other in their constant rivalry, when things start to get physical, they can't help but admit feelings they've had all along. I like female alphas in general as I feel like it flips a tired script where women are totally sex objects, though the story is short. Trigger warning: sexual harrassment.

Oscar is an alpha with trauma after he attacked his older brother(omega) during his first heat. He went away to college and befriended fellow alpha Luca over their shared desire to find their fated pairs. But when Luca convinces Oscar to spend the night with him, Oscar is left confused about what he really wants. It was pretty good until they got to bs scientific explanation for Oscar's "change," which totally robbed the story of any narrative stakes surrounding the central emotional conflict. Still an okay read, and fun to see his brother again (featured in his own manga). Trigger warning: attempted rape(heat).

Tsukasa is a high spec alpha who hates omegas and works hard to stay at the top. One day he runs into his former high school classmate Yoshiki, also an alpha, working at an arcade, and he's surprised by how different their lives are. After a drink and a bet, Yoshiki talks Tsukasa into having sex and the two become sex friends. But the longer this goes on, the more we learn about their strange relationship as maybe friends, maybe rivals, and maybe more, and Yoshiki's strange fixation on Tsukasa. But when Tsukasa's body begins to change, he worries Yoshiki won't want him if he's not a perfect alpha and begins to pull away. Yoshiki is a terrible person, but I will say, I think that makes this one interesting, although it leaves it with an unsatisfying end. Trigger warnings: dubcon, attempted rape, lying/manipulation, stealthing.
