I Wont Accept Your Regrets
91. This one is a doozy. First off, the good translation ends around chapter 79, but the subsequent translations are not as bad as others I’ve read. I’m also really not a fan of the art. This is almost exactly the kind of redemption arc story that I have been searching for for a long time. That is probably why I can endure the disgusting art style. However, I do think that it improved over the 90 or so chapters that I’ve read so far. I do feel bad for the illustrator because they’ve said repeatedly that they have health problems and have had to take breaks so I suppose I should try my best to support the artist. So I love a single mother, hiding herself and young son away from his father for years because she can’t bear the idea of being with her ex anymore. And I love that she is a girl boss during that time. I wish that the story had started when she’s doing well financially, in the kingdom of Lundt, and has just heard about her father in political turmoil. And that we could get all of her previous life and not bringing with the emperor told her flashbacks are even more sad than the first I was like 50 or so chapters. I wish that every time she tells the emperor “ the past is the past let’s move forward” or “ I’ve moved on, I haven’t you” but it would then transition into a flashback related to that conversation. And that other flashbacks could be shown, when either Elijah or Raymond are thinking about each other, and reminiscing on the past. As I typically don’t like flashbacks, I wonder if I would be bored during them, but I would hope you know in my ideal version of the story that they are just as compelling and even more heart wrenching.
