general rating — 10/10 character rating — 10/10 plot rating — 9.5/10 artstyle rating — 9/10 all time fav! best gl i ever read hands down. the artstyle was kinda dookie in the beginning but it got a lot better over time. both mcs were strong and independent, and there was enough shady behavior that got me hooked. loved it when grace killed that freak. blonde x dark haired trope also fulfilled <3 wasn't THAT big of a fan of the fantasy racism & master x servant trope but somehow i didn't notice. the slow burn & almost one sided pining was great. i wish i could erase my memory to reread this.

general rating — 10/10 character rating — 9/10 plot rating — 10/10 artstyle rating — 7/10 i love them omg. girls against the world kind of misogyny trope i love. all the women in this were great minus the wife of the brother in law? i don't remember well, but very nice plot twist too i was so hooked it had me crying screaming throwing up. i like how we never find out what the madam's name is, like only shim cheong will ever know and it's that special. i loved it a lot, reminds me of the handmaiden <3 the epilogue was nice too! i love the fortune teller and her love interest lady (forgot who) was very cute side story. would reread again!!!
