SO, HERE I AM AGAIN JUST FINISHED IT AND I MUST SAY THIS WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED IT TO BE, I love how the story is so complete and no loose ends remain, but I still want more of their journey together...Firstly, when I started it I was done with it and wanted to just get it over with, I only started this because of the rating and now that it's done I regret second-guessing it and wanna bitch slap my previous self if I hadn't read it then I would've been so sad and disappointed by myself lol okay I will stop being like this and say that it was such a great story after you get a grasp of the first few chapters and once I did this is going in my favorite list<3 The main couple was so adorable and loveable and I wanna see more of them and I kinda hoped that there would be more couples too because I wanna see the story of the royal guard (with a scar on his eye) with someone too since he is a cutie pookie<3 I think the emperor (sunwoo/woo/seme) was cruel and scary yet so pitiful and lonely so I am really glad that he got someone who wouldn't abandon him and would love him unlike many others he had in his life, Suyoung (uke) had a terrible past but I am glad that we got to know him better and now that he is with someone who loves him dearly he can move on and start to love himself and be proud of his skills, I am not gonna lie I was a bit doubtful about woo being the seme but now that we see how much he has changed and the fact that he has gotten so attached to suyoung, I am glad that happened, he is head over heels for him and adores him deeply some might even say he is obsessed with him and I find it rather likable... Someone willing to trade an entire nation just to win my heart I WOULD EVAPOR THAT INSTANT- UwU He willingly gave up his throne the one he worked so hard for, the one he sacrificed so much for, the only thing that motivated him to survive the cruel cold weather, the hunger, the pain and what not for the damn throne and he easily gave it up for suyoung, say what you want but that man is down bad and I am here just to see that and I can only wish to have someone who loves me even a molecule of how much woo loves soyoung... Yeo Haon/master of martial arts/bottom and Baek Rigon/spy/red-eyed demon/top This is a great enemies-to-lovers romance, full of angst, vengeance, betrayal, and lust for power... Rigon wants revenge on his father for the fact that he killed his mother, and other clan members when he was only a child, her mother's last wish for her husband, the father of her child was that he must wait until ''their'' son is ready to face him for he was yet too weak. His father accepted but over the years his greed grew strong, he wanted power more than anything but his secret son was a throne to his side and he wanted to eliminate him without suspicion. While all this was happening, his son Rigon was taken in by the head of the academy and that was when he met his infamous son, Yeo Haon who hated him from the start, their rivalry grew but so did their friendship or so, but Rigon was only here to become powerful and he had to leave to fight his father but he grew attached to that place, more like a certain someone, but tragedy occurred and he witnessed his ''death''' and he turned cold and blamed himself but his hope regained when he found out he was alive, they encountered, the trust, the betrayal, the angst, the desire all came crashing down at the same time ... But now, Haon was working for the lord, Rigon's father, will he chose to trust someone again who betrayed him, They soon became ''friends'' again and also confessed their feeling and their story. The Lord was getting impatient and so was Rigon, and so some things happened and Rigon got his revenge for his mother and killed his father, after that he went to his mother and said that he is now free and now he had another purpose to live hi life and that is to be with Haon<3 Haon on the other hand found out that his father was alive, not knowing what to do, he ran away with Rigon to travel, but they kept exchanging letters and then in side chapters they finally made up and we got a happy ending which was well deserved after all that...
