Soul mates, head chef x employee, dominant top, bottom thought he was straight, slow burn. One of the few I've seen where the top looks like he's really enjoying himself/caught up in pleasure rather than unfazed but horny. He actually has emotions and can be affected by his emotions, and even capable of being and looking emotionally vulnerable at times. What a novel concept. So glad the artist does him justice as a ML. This is a manhwa not a manga, READ LEFT TO RIGHT Shonen ai for main story, yaoi for side stories. Straight tops x2, the starting couple isn't the final couple. Some heart-wrenching and bittersweet stuff. Everyone here has a fucked up past, I feel sorry for both tops but especially for the one MC doesn't end up with, there was nothing he could do to keep things together and the ending he gets is depressing. Really enjoyed it overall, things just occasionally took a solid left turn in a good way that kept the plot from being too predictable. Cute, but not romantic at all. They only start dating at the very end, and it's not really dating in reality by the time the story ends (basically just best friends). There is a censored kiss and a kiss on the cheek and that's as far as they get, no real discussion of anything romantic other than the brief confessions. Licensed on Inkr and Renta. Summary from Lezhin: "What would you do if your life was taken over by an R-rated dating simulation game? And there’s only one way to find out…" Almost dropped early on because of little to no romantic development and a very reluctant MC, but it becomes clear around the beginning of season 2 that the director is end game and he's my favorite. Really don't like that there's still sexual encounters with the 2nd ML even once MC and ML get closer, but they never fully have sex. 2nd ML is sleazy af and wish they'd cut things off with him quicker, especially since his sexual encounters with MC are pretty equal in amount to ML. The ending is essentially perfect for this story. He ends up in a committed relationship, and it solves all the messy character interpersonal relationships and damage that would have otherwise carried over into the final couple's life together. The characters don't have a ton of depth but don't need it, and that also means that not having side stories was probably the best choice. I think the author finished everything strong.
