Fantasy that's actually sci-fi. It was interesting when we got the genre switch but then the roundabout ending was a turnoff. What's with yan dying, then mc going to tatekawa only for tatekawa to die too and then he's back to yan bc for some reason he's resurrected...like ok. The definition of anticlimactic.

Mc is a horse but it's cute.

Very good historical fantasy with nuanced characters. Only con was that their casual clothes were way too modern and didn't fit a fantasy world.

I appreciate that Daniel's exes are not treated as a running gag, rather it's acknowledged that they've brought on trauma
