Last ch 126 The dog names. The fucking dog names. No one should be surprised by the governor being the antagonist. He’s been suspicious since he showed up when he wasn’t supposed to be in the story. Don’t know if I want him to die in the end or not. I get the feeling he might. Once Mia started not chasing after the emperor, she got really wonderful. Now she’s entertaining. Everyone has character growth here. Not megane though, he’s been pretty consistent the whole time. (Ch 66) He was undercover. Deep undercover. At least my feeling of Governor Lehman dying was kind of on point, he planned on dying. He took on the role of the antagonist and was going to die like one too. Last ch 28 Lavane, love that bastard. I have plenty of questions but I can wait for them to be answered. Seeing the ducal prince learn that the abuse Ludis had to suffer through is incredibly serious is top notch. I love when that happens, especially when the person belongs to someone who was previously loyal to the abusers. I love me some divine retribution! Cosmic karma bitches! (Ch 15) They switched his name to Ravian but I still love that handsome bastard all the same. I’m going to laugh my ass off if they do the ritual but no ancient god responds. Enisha is great, wonderful, an icon. As the archmage and as the third star of the empire, she’s so great. There is not a single main character that I don’t like. Holy shit. I need more. Last ch 60 Kael is such a dork. He really wants Lilian to like him and he’s doing his best. It’s not just about how she helps him sleep, he genuinely cares about her presence. If he only cared about her so he could sleep then there were other ways to go about it and he wouldn’t be so desperate to please her. He could do the bare minimum as a husband or instead offer her a job at the palace to prevent rumors from spreading. Plus he wants her to stick around after he goes to sleep which is a major thing. (Ch 35)
