Last ch 15 If there is a romantic side plot, the only acceptable partners are the Demon King, Ángel, or Sophia. Based on the dumb bitch bringing up his name over and over again and the fact that Mao-sama is drawn the way that he is, my money is on Mao-sama being the romantic interest if there is any. I don’t need it, I’m not asking for it. I just have standards. I’m enamored with this story. Remilia is iconic. She’s doing everything for her precious Emi. The older sister who showed her what it was like to be loved. Remilia is getting revenge in the most beautiful way. She is such a queen. (Ch 8)

Last ch 43 Ryuu Ryuu is fucking iconic. Kyuros is head over heels in love with Marie. Marie really is making steps forward, becoming her own person who isn’t defined by abuse and trauma. The sister’s body was never found and there was that scene where the sister brought out clothes that were a secret and talked about her dream. Until something comes along to convince me otherwise, that girl is alive. (Ch 26)

Complete Ch 45 + Side 19 Both of them are crazy. This was crazy. Every part of it. Jaehan has these extensive inner monologues in the novel that are too much for visual media. The accident that caused Jaehan’s insomnia is never expanded upon, the man thinks so little of it. Jaehan’s relationship and history with Chief Kim and Heegyung’s relationship and history with his boss/hyung are never explained in detail. The story strictly follows Jaehan’s relationship with Heegyung, pushing everything else to the side. It emphasizes Jaehan’s attitude of not caring about anything other than Heegyung, whether that’s on purpose or not. I have mixed feelings about it. The story itself is great, the way it was told wasn’t. (Ch 45 + Side 10)

Last ch 20 Shout out to the “Older Sister’s fiancé seduces younger gay brother” tag for sounding like a straight up porn title. (Ch 1) I don’t remember this at fucking all but my rating of two stars is still accurate. (Ch 3) The Kang siblings need a therapist, not Baek Shinhee. Baek Shinhee is so in control of everything, it’s amazing, in a ‘wow he’s insane’ kind of way. Hyunwoo also out here proving that he greatly ressembles his mother. (Ch 20)

He really went, “She’s crazy and I love it.” Every time she does something he just swoons. Everyone else in that room is horrified but Jevon just sees his beautiful Empress Larcy being lovely. He is amused, impressed, and feeling all those fun tingly feelings you get when you see the person you love. Larcy, you’re doing great. Burn all your enemies, you deserve it. I can’t wait for her to be in love with Jevon. She doesn’t hold deep affections for him but he is still her husband and she’s conscious of that. Once she is on the same level as him and he starts showing his growing affections towards her more, she can find a cozy place next to him where she can love and be loved. Sang is wonderful, I cannot get over how much I love him. After the attack, the mask he was wearing at the beginning makes sense. Before going to the empire, he was neither a friend nor foe to Larcy, but he is beginning to be genuinely loyal towards her. It’s stretching beyond a feeling of solidarity. (Ch 26) Him feeling jealous and then being confused on what that sensation was, top tier. (Ch 28) She’s kicking ass and being super cool, but the fucking random assault rifle. Steam powered boats? No. Automatic weapons? Yeah, of course. Jevon, go rescue your super amazing wife. Make it dramatic so I can forget about the unrealistic placement of a modern gun in this setting. A gun that wasn’t even shot? So why it wasn’t a crossbow or musket, I don’t know. (Ch 36) Larcy getting heated when seeing that Jevon was hurt, was so fucking good. (Ch 50) Lass wants to have sex with her husband but is enjoying him treating her preciously. (Ch 65)

Last ch 12 Do I understand why Igor thinks the way he does? Yes. Do I still want to slap him across the face and reprehend him for sexually assaulting Lianan? Yes. Do I think he is more stupid than cute right now? Again, yes. He could be so good. I so badly want to educate him on healthy relationships because the boy clearly has no proper experience in that field. He is an asshole but he is also a victim. Doesn’t excuse his actions but it does mean that he isn’t completely irredeemable, he just has A LOT to make up for before him and Lianan can have a nice married life. Note, looked at the comments because curious, and it’s no surprise to see that he doesn’t improve the way he totally could. I don’t like the set up, more on principle. The whole, I won’t love X this time around, thing is very iffy to me. The statement is almost always followed by them still loving the person. Love is borderline, if not entirely, irrational. Making declarations like that is pointless, it’s as pointless as it is for me to be complaining about it. (Ch 12)

Last side 4 The crown prince is a shitty person, but man, I love his stupid ass. Him as a character hits just right. The crown prince is a psychopath, someone with antisocial personality disorder. He doesn’t have any close relationships, he gets bored and craves stimulation, and he can’t empathize, seemingly, what so ever. Yeon Yooyoung deserves happiness. He’s just a boy who has nothing. (Ch 43) I’m glad General Yoon is doting on Yooyoung. The baby deserves to be treated sweetly. (Ch 65) Seriously… (Ch 68) I’m losing my god damn mind. (Ch 74) Crying. (Ch 80 End of Main Story)
