What Does The Fox Say?
One of the first GL webtoons I ever read and it made a lasting impression. Granted, the second part to the story is a bit lackluster and underwhelming which upset me cause Baek Seju is my favorite character from this, however, it is an over all masterpiece of Yuri goodness and needs to be read by all avid Yuri fans. You will learn love, loss, maturity and letting go from the characters that leap from the pages. This full-color gem has not only matured in its telling but also in its artwork and character overviews. An amazing piece I would recommend to even non-yuri fans.
Just Right There
Don't mind the scenes or the art. Very aesthetic. With that being said, as a lesbian who has watched A LOT of lesbian films, I can see where they grasped they're inspiration. Some of the love scenes remind me of loves scenes from several lesbian films I've seen over the years but regardless of that, this is worth the read. The loves scenes aren't out of place and don't take away from the over all story which is one of the things I look for when reading yuri. In fact, the primary reason I don't like reading yaoi is because it is primarily based on XXX scenes and it overwhelmes the actual plotline. But most true yuri are done very aesthetically and with great storylines aside from hentai lol. Still, I am most likely quite biased on the subject.
Lilith (Sirius)
Not impressed. The art is eye-catching but the story relies upon explicit content. When there's too much XXX it takes away from the over all story. I understand the scenes in stories like WDTFS or Just Right There but with this it seems a bit unnecessary and actually a bit off putting. If I wanted to read yuri hentai, then I read yuri hentai and I'm not here for that.
Gunjou
The art really took away from the overall story. Also, the story could have been told in a much shorter time which tells me that the author was trying to milk it for all it was worth. And it wasn't worth much. This really disappointed me. The two main characters are not only destructive towards each other but they are to themselves and those around themselves. I hated the brother and was surprised a woman like his wife ever married him in the first place. Finding out that a woman has been battered her entire life and saying for her to just deal with it and get over it...not ok. Also, I really didn't even care for the main character. It was like her over abuse was done just to make her seem more pathetic or to make her seem to be someone who needed others empathy. Also even though she said she would take that empathy she always did. This story was not something I will ever read again. Probably the worst yuri, if not one of the worst mangas I have ever read. As a victim of abuse and a lesbian, I find this manga rather appalling.
Us Right Now
A short and sweet story that cuts to the truth of the matter. I rather liked this one even though it made me wish for more. Pretty great!
Lilith 2
So disappointed with how this is turning out. I mean, all the characters are toxic to one another. Jae-Hee brings out the worst in everyone, Sulhwa can't make up her mind and Huilin acts like the world is for her simply served on a silver platter. I'm over this. Dropped. Edit: I was asked to read this again. I doubt it'll change my opinion, but here we go (λβΈλ) Edit: I'll be reading the side story simply due to the fact that it's totally different characters. Hope it doesn't disappoint.
Sweet Guilty Love Bites
I love this mangaka. Not all of her manga is worth reading time and time again but this one is something I find myself doing just that. Amano really entertains me with what all she does in her manga and I find myself being pulled in quite often. Generally speaking, I'm not very into yuri manga with so much explicit content, but this mangaka is quite the different story for me.
